I don’t live in Jennings anymore and haven’t been to boudin king in over 15 years . This used to be the best boudin ! I went there this past wk and brought my mother who was so excited to go and my sister . The boudin was awful, no taste and so full of rice that nobody ate it . Service was awful and environment was hot and filthy . Bathroom had no A/C and had fan blowing hot air . It appeared to have young people running it and I know that the late Ellis Cormier would not approve of the food quality being served . I will never go back to Jennings boudin king . Food was so bad that if I could give no stars I would .

I pass through Jennings from time to time and this was my second time trying Boudin King. I ordered boudin and gumbo for dine in and an order of gizzards to go. Gumbo and gizzards were served right away plated for dine in and I was told it would be just a minute for the boudin. When asked that the gizzards be packaged to go the lady seemed bothered. We all have bad days, so I didn't think anything of this. I then ate my gumbo which was bland and tasted watered down. Then, I waited 30 minutes for the boudin. After waiting the 30 minutes the same lady called my number and then handed me my boudin and gizzards packaged to go with no apology. I was too frustrated to correct her and at this point didn't want to dine in anyway. I went down the road and ate in my truck. Their boudin was disappointing. I ate one link and threw the rest away.
Don't waste your money here. More importantly, don't waste your time here.

Keep in mind their isn't any "servers" you order and pick up at the next window as your number is called , the cashiers customer service depends on who you get some are great and some are not necessarily just like most places , Food is cooked to order so there will be a wait time , don't expect it to be fast food because it isn't a fast food joint. If you order through the drive thru keep in mind your food is cooked and bagged, and then kept under a warming light until you pick up so if you take a while to pick your food up, it won't be considered " fresh fresh" this place has the ability to be a really great place. If you give it a good chance and be patient.
