Went with a group of 8, everything from chips & salsa and table side guacamole to the entrées was very good. Service was good, even though the place was very busy for a Friday night. All the bar drinks were very good. The pork Carnitas, pictured, were quite good as was were the chicken fajitas. It was a very nice dining experience.

Do not order QUESO to go. It’s an absolute rip off. I was charged $36 for 3 tiny 4 oz of cheese.

Worst service I had at this restaurant, the waitress never acknowledged us. My family of four had to flag a server down to put in our order. The other waitress which was supposed to serve us was talking and joking around with her coworkers while we are just staring at her to see if she was going to come to the table to take our orders. She was very slow at getting our drinks even bean dip for the chips. A manager saw we were frustrated and helped us at the last minute. The waitress looked like she didn’t even care of working or doing anything at her job. I best advice for management to look at your staff and tell them
To do better!!!!!!

This restaurant is a favorite! The vibe and service is bar none the best around. The owners and family are the kindest people! I love the mandeville location too. Jose and his family are now family friends. Such a great time listening to the bands are eating delicious food! Mary, a wonderful server! Go check it out!

I prefer the El Paso on vets. The food here wasn't comparable. My margarita wasn't the same either. So it's good just not as good as the one in Metairie. Service was good and the vibes were great.

The food was delicious. I had Loco Polo mmm you should try it. Son & hubby had chicken quasidillias and tacos. The service is always unmatched. We never ever have a bad time or bad food at ANY of the El Paso restaurants we go to. We will continue to go.

The atmosphere is nice…bright, clean, and pleasant. The service was good, and the bathrooms were tidy. While the thin, hot, and crisp chips paired with the smooth, slightly sweet red salsa and black bean dip were a definite highlight, the main dishes were a mixed bag. The chicken quesadilla was quite good, but the burrito supreme with ground beef was a letdown, as the beef had an unappealing, paste-like texture.

For the price the food is absurdly mid (medicore). I'll get better quality and more authentic Mexican food down the street from the hole in the wall. This restaurant is a great example of why expanding is not always a good idea. After a couple chances ima be thinking about the regret I have coming here during work. I do think the one on the Northshore is better for some reason

El Paso Mexican Grill in Metairie is a solid go-to for casual, flavorful Tex‑Mex with strong drink specials, warm Tex‑Mex hospitality, and a menu that covers all the favorites. Expect a vibrant atmosphere, consistent service, and satisfying plates—ideal for families, friends, or happy‑hour outings.

• Typical happy hour deals and Taco Tuesday are big perks—but the restaurant can get busy, so weekends and peak hours may mean a wait.
• Some people mention occasional variation in food consistency, but the majority of feedback remains very positive.

Offers a wide range of Tex‑Mex favorites: fajitas (chicken, steak, shrimp), chimichangas, quesadillas, flautas, steak tacos, flan, churros, and refreshing margaritas.

• Compliments often mention free chips, salsa, black‑bean dip, and speedy, friendly service.
