Gendusa's Italian Eatery Reviews
We were over the top with the entire meal. We started with the sampler appetizer and it was amazing. I had spaghetti and meatballs with the Italian house salad and my fiance had the meatball poboy. Everything was amazing and so delicious and the service was excellent. I have looked for an Italian restuarant to please my palate and have been disappointed but NO MORE, Gendusa's has met my expectations above and beyond!
Between the incredible Italian cuisine and "speakeasy" atmosphere, it is more than just an great neighborhood hangout, it's a destination! Great food, great drinks, great service!
Food and service always great the best pizza, food and drinks specials a plus

Gendusa's Italian Eatery in Kenner offers classic Italian dishes with large portions in a charming neighborhood setting that feels welcoming and nostalgic. The atmosphere of the dining room truly speaks Italian, with lights strung on the buildings and decorations like a St Joseph statue. The meatball and red sauce are highlights; the meatball is flavorful and cannot be beaten. The house salad is like a mini antipasto and delicious. Portions are decent, and the food is considered some of the best around. While the shrimp Parmesan had excessive cheese and lacked garlic, the calzone needed more cooking time. Some feel the sauce could use more seasoning and a sharper taste, and it should be served hotter. Despite minor flaws, Gendusa's delivers great food, especially the meatballs and pizza, which is a must-try, especially with the handmade cauliflower crust. The restaurant is family and kid-friendly, with ramps for wheelchair accessibility. Parking is available nearby, and while they don’t take reservations, the service is mostly great, with some servers providing excellent recommendations and attentiveness. Gendusa's is worth the trip from Northshore to Kenner for dishes like seafood ravioli and stuffed artichokes, making it a hidden gem that is highly recommended for any dining occasion.
