Food and service were spectacular, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Excellent value!

The waitress was nice, but I had to really try to get her attention a couple of times to get certain things. The calamari was ok. The blackened catfish was “meh”. The fried Cajun potatoes were pretty bland. I didn’t even touch the bread after feeling it. The corn was surprisingly spicy, but in a good way. That was the only thing I actually finished. Probably won’t go back, but everything new is an experience.

I live in Baton Rouge, Harbor Seafood is my all time favorite seafood restaurant! However, I went to lunch yesterday with a couple of friends and while the food was great the service was terrible and slow! And the restaurant and the bar did not have a lot of people in it!

My friend bragged about this place where she goes every time she comes to New Orleans. Well me, her and her sister went there. Well she got that Eggplant 🍆 that she had been bragging about with something else. She said it didn't look 😳 right. She said the sauce on top of it was too thick, and when she tasted it, it was too 🧂 salty and we all tasted it and it was. Her blood pressure would have been high sky I kid you not. That Crawfish Et-too-fae, that's spelled wrong but you get the picture. It was the pits. The crawfish in there was old, rubbery it just was not good. Now I'm disappointed 😞 but let me tell you those fried crab claws 😋 on the appetizer menu were the bomb and those Frog 🐸 legs if you eat FrogLegs. I can't get pass the Frog. My mind won't let me. We got 2 orders of each and a shrimp 🍤 and oyster po boy they were good too. It was the weekend and I told my friend maybe the chef that made her wonderful Eggplant was off. But we all ate them Fried 🦀 crab Claws, they were the best 👌 and the Gumbo is a ( No-Go ).

Clean friendly. Little short staffed. Expectations were high. Love my Carolina seafood. So excited to try New Orleans seafood. Fried shrimp and catfish with coleslaw. Batter was similar to KFC style crunchy thickness. Not like tempura batter style. Catfish was tender and hot, heavy fish taste. Coleslaw had much more Mayo than I expected, almost like banana pudding texture. It wasn't bad, but I didnt get the urge to celebrate. The Mrs. Had jambalaya she loved it. It was good.

FULL PRICE for HALF the PORTION. We used to order from here a lot to bring home and watch the game. Imagine our disappointment when we get charged regular prices for a wrong order (missing cheese when ordered) and half portions on almost everything. The take-out container of fried pickles barely covered the bottom, let alone adequately served two people! You probably could have counted the number of fries served with the seafood platter, and the rice served for the gumbo fit inside a a tartar sauce cup! Absolutely ridiculous. We understand that times are tough but if you can't serve an adequate portion for the price you charge, then change the price or take it off the menu. What a waste of money and how disappointing to have to take this Sunday staple off our list. We WON'T be back.

Excellent good with good prices.
Restaurantji Recommends
This traditional Louisiana-style seafood restaurant keeps it simple but delivers solid seafood.
I sat at the bar, where service was quick and friendly.
The lunch special—two softshell crabs, onion rings, and bread—was a steal at around $15.(No longer the case , 2025 it's $24 now).
With plenty of seating and a convenient location just off the main road, about 10 minutes from the airport, it’s an easy-to-find spot for a satisfying meal.
Most items were fried but there are some that wasn't that I have yet tried.

I am selling near the restaurant and went in around 4 after I set up my vintage clothing sale. The restaurant was pretty full and the nice waitress made some suggestions. I ordered the blackened trout and it was delicious. The service was top notch as well. Thanks for the great dining experience

The food was great! We had Gumbo, corn chowder, shared a seafood combo platter with snow crab and wrapped it with the bread pudding. The food was delicious, promptly served, hot which I love and appreciate and the service from a caring server made it memorable. We will be back on our next visit to NOLA.
