Hurst’s Restaurant & Seafood in Kenner is a true delight! I was able to get in and out with ease, and the service was top-tier. They checked on me with care, the atmosphere was peaceful and family-friendly, and the food? Absolutely delicious! Conveniently located on Airline Drive with no fuss or traffic—this spot is a must-visit!

First place I went to leaving the airport. Rental car employee recommended this restaurant to me. Staff was super sweet to me, the food was so delicious. Customers spoke to staff as if they’re frequent visitors and family. Music was fun and a good vibe. I had the recommended turkey legs, green beans, corn bread and a Diet Coke. Portions were abundant and I couldn’t eat it all.

Online it says the restaurant closes at 7 pm. But was turned away and told it closes at 6:15 pm. Fortunately, I caught Lee's before they closed at 7 pm.
If you’re anywhere near Kenner, Hurst’s is a must-visit. This Black-owned, family-run spot serves up soulful daily specials that hit every time. From smothered pork chops to greens cooked just like Grandma made them, the love in the kitchen shines through every plate.
I had the smothered liver with gravy, white beans, and rice—and it was phenomenal. The liver was tender and rich, with gravy so flavorful I wanted to lick the plate. The white beans were creamy, comforting, and perfectly seasoned.
Hurst’s is the kind of place where the food speaks for itself. The vibe is warm, the staff is friendly, and the menu changes daily, which just means I’ll be coming back again and again to see what’s next.
