I had a layover yesterday 2-23-20 in MSY my first time in New Orleans if you could call it that. Came across Lucky Dogs they were delicious! I had both the smoked sausage and Creole they were both amazing. I really enjoyed the Creole just the right amount of spiciness.. they staff were also amazing very friendly. I will be back to NOLO for a true visit.

Service is slow and without a smile. I ordered a 1/4 pound Lucky Dog with relish and onions. The hot dog was not very hot, barely warm at the most. The bun was fresh and the best part of my meal. (the hotdog should have been the best part...). I do not recommend.

They found a way to f*** up a hot dog, I will give them that. I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to food. I'm not demanding a whole lot when I order something especially if it's fast food. In fact, I love hot dogs. I loved them when I played little league at the Rec Center concession stand, and I still yearn for those chili, mustard and cheese dogs into my third decade of this cruel joke called life. They don't need to be fancy, they don't need to be anything special. Dogs is dogs and I'm here to eat em all. Except this place. F****** disgusting. I ordered the hot dog, took a couple of bites and had to throw it away. And I almost never throw away food. But I did, even though this was an expensive a** airport hot dog. Because it was so gross I thought I'd throw up on the plane ride. I had my reservations when I asked for cheese and the cheese dispenser was jammed up, so the woman working the counter opens it up and a the inside of it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since they opened the airport.

A New Orleans tradition you can now find at the airport. If you are not from New Orleans, it is a fairly simple high-quality hot dog. However, it is one of the few places at the airport that has the same quality food at the airport as they do at their other locations. It also is the same price! And at the airport this stand is quick and the dog is a good value. If you are from NOLA, you will not be disappointed in the Lucky Dog you fondly remember from trips to the French Quarter. Recommended!

"Famous Hot Dogs" .... are they famous for being awful? I honestly don't get Lucky Dog and that slogan. I mean... let's put it this way, I come from a small town in Northern California where specialty hot dogs are sold at a corner store called the Red Front. A few years back a crime was solved because on the security cam police recognized the hot dog the perpetrator was holding - it's that famous and unique to the area. The bun is a special danish recipe that Guy Fieri (who is also from this small town) swears by. I eat at least three a day when I visit and would fedex them to myself if they would hold up. This? This was junk. The bun was dry, the dog was bad. I ended up throwing it out. There was nothing redeeming whatsoever beyond the friendly service at the stand. But hey, it's cool Lucky Dog, you can be famous - here ya go.

The hot dog was tasty, and the price is what I would expect at an airport (on the pricey side). I got the 1/4 lbs "lucky" dog which is a bigger version of a regular hot dog. I wanted either of the sausages but at 3pm on a Saturday they were all out :(. The food options are sparse but this does the trick. I would have given a three star on the food, but the customer service actually made this a four. The three women working were so so nice. It might slow the line down some but I don't mind.

Found this gem inside the NOLA airport during our layover in the way to Orlando. Pretty basic hot dogs at an ok price. Would recommend for a quick bite.

I stopped at this location on the way back home. I had both the Jumbo Dog which was Beef/Pork mix and the cajun dog one that tasted like Frenchy's Chaurice sausage to me that I get here in Houston. Loved both. I would go back again. Disclaimer: I had just ketchup and mustard on the Jumbo Dog and the cajun dog it was just plain.

I ordered the Cajun dog with everything and the bread was bigger than the dog and she doused it with so much of the condiments I immediately regretted ordering the works. The dog itself was tasty though and whenever I am in terminal C I will probably stop by and order a plain Cajun dog.

Good for hot dogs, but extremely poor customer service. I first tried to order in the middle of the afternoon... And was told "it'll be 20 minutes, we're changing shifts".... In the middle of the day in an airport?

Okay hot dog but it was super expensive! Not worth $8!

Got the lucky dog with cheese mustard and onion. It wasn't anything special. Filled a spot while waiting for the plane. I had heard that they were pretty good, but was left feeling meh. Gave 3 stars for the staff, girls were pleasant enough, just need to smile more.
