Had a fantastic lunch there. The people who run it are very friendly and kind. The restaurant is very clean. All of the food is delicious. I'm glad we found this gem when leaving the airport.
The food is exceptional, and the service is quite good. The only drawback is that it is not open on weekends.

Nola Nica never disappoints! This is the first time I order the Fritanga. My jaw dropped when she walked out with a 9x11 baking pan! It is enough food for three meals. (Two for a more hearty eater) This sampler has all your favorites.

Rude reception by the husband, the cook. I think he was upset because he was out of popular items. All chicken dishes and many sides on the menu were unavailable before 1pm and they are open until 3pm. If you go to lunch at 2pm all that might be available is buns and ketchup! It looks like they might be having financial issues. We've been sitting for 35 minutes and no food. Another party arrived and they were served and checked out before we got our burgers. I was told they ordered before they arrived. We received the street corn and plantains first. We ordered two specialty burgers and received them 45 minutes after we ordered! The burgers we received weren't the specialty burgers with coleslaw. They didn't bother to tell us they were out of coleslaw too! The overall taste of the burger was good eventhough the cheese was hard and not melted. I would call before you go to confirm they have the menu choices you are seeking and order it before you arrive. The restaurant is difficult to find. Look for the blue awning.

We almost missed it because there is no sign for the restaurant. You have to enter a building to find the restaurant. Service was friendly and helped us with our disappointment because they had ran out of most of the menu. We ordered lunch. The waitress was super friendly. The vibe is relax. Parking was easy.

Delicious. Had the daily special, Baja chicken Flautas . The chef even swapped the rice for me. I got the black beans and rice. Look forward to going back. Wish I would’ve discovered Nola Nica sooner!
The best!!
Restaurantji Recommends
I have been going to NolaNica for years. Ghian Carlos does a great job customizing the Nicaraguan cuisine, giving it his personal touch. Amazing food and an amazing service. I highly recommend this place.
My wife and I stumbled upon this charming Nicaraguan restaurant on our way home from a weekend trip, and we're so glad we did! It was the perfect way to cap off our little getaway.
I decided to try the fritanga, which I can't recommend highly enough. It's a fantastic sampler of various dishes they serve, giving you a taste of everything. Each component was bursting with flavor and clearly prepared with care. To drink, I had their homemade melon juice, which was incredibly refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. My wife went for the day's special: grilled chicken. She was impressed by how tender, juicy, and delicious it was.
The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel like family. They were happy to explain the dishes, which we appreciated since some were new to us.
If you're in the area, whether you're a local or just passing through like we were, definitely give this place a try. It's great for both adventurous eaters who want to sample a bit of everything (like the fritanga) and those who prefer familiar dishes with a Nicaraguan twist (like the grilled chicken special). Don't forget to try one of their homemade drinks too!"

Very nice people, clean restaurant, and delicious food. I went with coworkers and had no idea where we were going. They told me it was really good, so I was down to try it. I got the Carne Asada plate, which ran about $15. The plate had a nice size skirt/flank steak that was tender, juicy, and absolutely delicious. There was also the best plantains I have ever had, and the rice and beans were delicious. I usually don’t eat rice and beans from Hispanic restaurants, but this was a different level. There was also a crunchy corn tortilla thing with cheese in it that was delicious. The ingredients were all very good quality. I am looking forward to returning soon with my family.
