On my way out of town last trip down to the New Orleans area I popped in to Parran's Po Boys to grab a sandwich before hitting the road. Decided to grab the J&M special for $14. This is Roast beef, ham, and swiss and I got that dressed like I always do. I know a lot of people lean hard on the seafood down south but I love a good roast beef po' boy. There were a ton of tables in this place so I would assume they get quite busy. I came on a weekday in between lunch and dinner hours so there weren't a ton of people there.

Man this was a good sandwich. Maybe the 3rd best po boy I've had behind Parkway and Mabile's. Maybe...I've had some high quality others as well but this one is memorable for me. Plenty of meat and the vegetables while dressing it up were nice and fresh. The bread was crusty on the outside and soft in the center and it held up to the mayo and gravy on the beef perfectly. I'd go back and eat this tomorrow if I could.

Next time in I'd love to say I'll try something different but this special may have a hold on me. Maybe I need to bring a friend to we can split one or something. Either way, Parran's Po Boys - Didn't Suck!

I gave one star in order to be able to write this review, Parran's should be ashamed of themselves for the AWFUL quality and quantity of their OVER PRICED po boys... I think this is a Disgrace.... the food is Tasteless, Unflavored, UnSeasoned and Unworthy... family came in town and wanted to try this place. I Warned them, Badd Choice. I went to this place about 5 years ago, and I would Never feed their family again with any of my money by purchasing ANYTHING from there.. they had to experience it for themselves, and Now they saw exactly what I was talking about. And for 4 and 5 star reviews, I guess those folks would give that, Their taste bud is like eating sand off the beach. $23.95 for an 8 inch poboy with 11 oysters, that was HORRIBLE... Parran's is a RIP OFF!.. I Don't think inmates on Death Row would enjoy that.

I seldom give all 5 stars as my high school football coach used to say “everyone can improve”. Well, today you all proved that wrong! I hadn’t been here since returning home to Louisiana (Kenner branch). The young dude at the desk was kind, friendly, courteous and I was a bit taken aback. Happily so. Ha
Well we got a footlong roast beef poboy with debris gravy…it’s as FRIGGIN’ AWESOME! So flavorful, so juicy, so greatly seasoned and a MESS and I LOVED IT! This is how you make a gravy-laden Po-Boys.
My wifey got the half muffulatta. It’s was GREAT! And unlike most places…you guys at Parran’s provided the meat. It was about 1” high. Yes, it’s a little pricey initially, but when you get your order…you realize why! IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!
And lastly, the ounion rings…SO GOOD! I did pick up so when home “air refried” them at 400 for 2 minutes. Perfect! Crispy! And seasoned to perfection. I usually did in ketchup onion rings but from Parran’s, I just loved the flavor so much the wifey and I were very happy.
Congrats to the Parran’s team. On a $30ish order, I left a $15 tip. It was THAT good!!!

The food was okay at best. I have fonder memories for the Parran's in Metairie. It was the service. The young adults working there could care less about their job and were downright rude. Somehow 20+ dollars a person for sandwiches and a drink with a side of onion rings just doesn't cut it for me on counter service without a smile.

I ordered the club sandwich and for the most part it was alright —except for the bacon. It appears the bacon probably is the precooked type that is not crispy but rubbery. A good club sandwich should always have crispy bacon on it. The other item I ordered was the potato salad. This stuff is absolutely terrible. Very dry and flavorless. Needs much more mayo at least. It’s the type potato salad I call the mashed potato type, which in some cases can be good if made right. Not recommended.

The past few visits here it seems the food and service has gone downhill. It's expensive, but used to feel worth it. I probably won't bother going back. Too many other options in the area for subpar food and service

My family and I order takeout from the Kenner location at least once every other month. The food and service staff have always been great. Today, we placed our order for takeout, Shrimp &Crawfish Diane, Children's Angel hair with butter and cheese, and Crawfish Etouffee. The 1st two dishes were great as expected. However, the Crawfish Etouffee left something to be desired. It had large hunks of tomatoes in it and the tomatoes overpowered the flavor of the dish. It was my 1st time ordering Crawfish Etouffee from Parran's. I've never had Etouffee with tomatoes as part of the ingredients. I will not be ordering this dish in the future and now wish that I would have stayed with one of my regular dishes such as Shrimp Creole, any of the many poboys, or a Red Bean plate. Extremely disappointed.
