Food made with love! Dining room is closed but to go is still there. Don't miss this hidden jewel! Ms. Queen is the best!!!! She'll take good care of you. Be sure to go hungry. You won't be disappointed! We had the pork chop, mustard greens, white beans & rice, yams, stewed potatoes, and corn bread. Oh my goodness, all of it was exceptional! I WILL go again!

The food was absolutely amazing. We had the gumbo, fish plate, and stuffed bellpepper. Catfish was perfectly breaded and fried to perfection, with peas, potatoe salad, macaroni & cheese. Don't forget the cornbread, That's a way to a mf'ers soul! Gumbo was so flavorful. New orleans girl born and raised picky with my gumbo! Greens were so juicy. Don't forget the sweet potatoes pie ??

Please season the peas lightly, use little salt, and bake the macaroni (you know how we do it). Everything else is OK. And why is the potato salad white, by the way? Before I tried it, I thought it was mashed potatoes.

I don't even know where to begin with this absolute gem hidden in Kenner by the airport. I was made aware of this place from Devin on his RB&R day review earlier this year. It took me a minute to get here, but If you haven't been here you need to run don't walk!! Queen's Cuisine is more than just amazing soul food, it was an experience. The owner Ms Queenie goes out of her way to make you feel like family as soon as you walk up to the window to order. We talked before and after ordering and it felt like I knew her already. There is a back story here about her son and the restaurant he always wanted her to have. Sadly he was murdered in New Orleans in 2014 and there hasn't been any justice. She cooks this food with pure love straight from her heart to honor his name. The red beans, potato salad and fried fish was outstanding. The fried fish was hot and crispy. Beans are hitting and full of flavor. Don't even get me started on the cornbread! I also got another plate of beans for my wife with the pork chop and that was equally as great!Took home the fried chicken, peas and Mac and cheese for my son and he devoured it!I couldn't leave without a plate of soul food so I made sure to get the Mustard greens with rice, baked chicken and yams. If you don't know about this you better ask somebody and go see Queenie. She will be waiting to serve you with love! I can't wait to go back and try more of her delicious soul food!

* Whewwww!!! I was craving some soul food before my 30 day detox. I searched yelp and this is one of the places I chose to go. I was unaware it was "to go" only. You go to a small window in the side to order. You have to bend down to even see in to order, they need a bigger window. Anyhoo ... I ordered the beans & rice with chicken wings, and an extra cornbread. The food!!!!! My Geeze!!!! It was sooooooo good! Only thing that disappointed me with the food was my dang cornbread was COLD!! It was wrapped in saran wrap. If that was the arm, all would have been FIRE!!!! .So I sat in the parking lot and at 1/2 my food and saved other 1/2 for later. As I continued my trip, I had to grab some more to eat from my plate! It was sooo good! .Any fast forward... my body didn't want me eating so much sodium & meat, and 2 cornbreads... I paid for that good meal! I was sick as a baby calf all night throwing up. :-( .... I knew my body would possibly reject it, but it was good @ H$!! While I was eating it! :-) LOL.If you're looking for some TRUE soul food... THIS IS YOUR STOP!! Oh and you can order ahead I was told, so you don't have to wait when you bc arrive. .Happy Soul Food Eating!! :-))

QC was recommended to me by my co worker JC last week. So I put it on my NOLA Hit List.Went after work on Friday and definitely was surprised how small the place was.Well I must say after ordering just about everything on the menu... QC is absolutely AMAZING!!!!! Probably the best soul food I've had since being in NOLA.The fried chicken with cheese pasta and yams with peas was delicious. The red beans and rice was superb. The corn bread was bar none the best. The customer service was impeccable. The Hungry Hardhat has made an official Yelp Proclamation... Queens Cuisine is a must try when in NOLA. QC has made my Platinum List hands down.Note: I ordered so much food they couldn't fit it through the window...LOLSo let it be written.... So let it be EATEN!!!

I’m not sure what I can say about this place that hasn’t already been said, but I had to give it a try after Hold The Mayo paid Mz Queen a visit. I was the first to arrive Monday morning and she greeted me like she’d known me forever. I ordered the red beans with fried wings, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread, as well as an Obama punch. My food was ready in 15 minutes and she called me to let me know. The car ride home was torture because it smelled so good. When I finally got to dive in, the beans were so full of flavor and had some serious chunks of ham. The wings were some of the crispiest I’ve ever had, the mac was creamy, and the cornbread was dense and sweet. All for $14 before tip. Hands down one of the nicest ladies you’ll ever meet in your life and you can tell she puts pride and love into her food. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you Mz. Queen!
