Bought three large shrimp poboys, two family size fries and a child's shrimp plate. Spent $86.41. I can understand the child's plate being popcorn shrimp but the shrimp poboys were also made using popcorn shrimp! Not what I expected. Seasoning was ok, not too hot but I expected decent size shrimp. If my destination wasn't 30 minutes away I would have brought the poboys back.

Stopped by here when I was in town. My hubby got the seafood platter. He said it was flavored well & the oysters were amazing. I ordered their red beans and rice. I'd say they were a 4/10. It was missing something. They had a good spice to them, but had hardly and sodium or Cajun seasonings, if that makes sense. The sausage made the dish. In my opinion, if you don't eat it with the sausage, it's bland, but has a black peppery taste to it, lol. The also ordered some blue crabs. I was thrilled to open the bag and see that they given me 3 extra crabs for free; however, they were so salty that I couldn't get more than 2 down. It was EXTREMELY salty. My cousin tried one and immediately spat it out. I mean like it was so salty that the sausage was not edible at all. The spice was spot on, I just wish that they used A LOT less salt so I could have enjoyed it. If I had to explain it, it reminded me of going to a crawfish boil and getting the corn & turkey necks that were soaking at the bottom of the pot where all the seafood boil landed. Just salty to the point of no return. And believe me, I really wanted those crabs, I traveled for them lol. I went to the sink and tried to even rinse the seasonings off but it wasn't enough. The meat inside of the crab was too full of salt already . Perhaps switch the person making the beans with the person making the crabs lol. Lastly, I ordered their bread pudding. The rum sauce was AMAZING, but the pudding itself.. I honestly don't know how to explain it in any other way besides saying.. WEIRD. It tasted very weird. Bread pudding is my favorite dessert of all time and I have traveled to just try others' lol. But something was just off with the recipe altogether. Sorry, forgot to take pics of our food before we started eating. Just the crabs lol Overall, I really enjoyed my husband's seafood platter. I am not a fried seafood person, but his was delicious. As always, I will be back again, for a second review.

Daaamn. They make a perfect shrimp boy boy for my taste. Mayo and pickle dressed, fresh, lots of shrimp and love the bread - Just tough enough but not hard. *smiles* took back two on the plane when I came to visit mom. Their gumbo, a dark rue and the stock is from the crawfish and shrimp shells? And..? Doesn't matter, one of my favorites. My go-to for boiled shrimp, hush puppies and boiled corn too. Suggest for anybody on the way to or from the airport. We are locals.

Went here today with my family on vacation. Originally from Florida, absolutely did NOT fall short of our expectations. Deliciously fresh seafood and a wonderful staff. Can't wait to make this stop a tradition for my family. All in all, Smit-tastic!

Go somewhere else for boiled crawfish. The crawfish were overcooked and mushy. Some had a really nasty taste like they were recooked. Even the potatoes tasted weird. Don’t waste your money
We had the onion mum appetizer, perfect, and we split the seafood platter. Got it with crab cakes. Large butterflied shrimp, large oysters, plenty of fish. All really good, crab cakes were like really good stuffed crab fried if you know what I mean.

I don't know why my last post has less than 5 stars I am thinking I had too many beers with those great tasting crawfish. Smitty's you guys are great and your boil seafood is excellent I'm so sorry I can't say much about the other items on your menu, I'm just a boiled food person. I did see someone had ordered, on my last visit, a blooming onion. I said then; I'm going to get that on my next visit. It was smelling sooo good. I am coming back this month. I have a pick up in Kenner. Thank you Smitty's Seafood for being located right off the interstate and serving THE BEST hot spicy boil seafood

I went here yesterday to get crawfish definitely was not as good as it normally is... while ordering i wanted the crawfish sauce for my meal the waitress told me they did not have any at the moment which was totally fine but told me she could bring the ingredients to my table and I can make it myself i thought that was very unprofessional i did not go to out to eat for me to prepare anything for myself.

Over cooked shrimp and crawfish in my hamper. About a dozen crawfish were bad. Ate with my family and all of us had over cooked shrimp. Waiter did nothing about it and then told the cashier I didn’t tell him anything about the seafood. Cashier wouldn’t tell me his name. I started eating here when it opened. I won’t be eating here any longer and neither will my family. I was wondering why the place was empty. A friend of mine said that’s why he doesn’t eat at this place. He said, he eats at Kenner Seafood! I called and talked with the owner and never heard back from her. Not my loss. I guess she approves of mixing old crawfish with new ones and some tasting terrible.
