There aren't many Nicaraguan restaurants in the area. Fortunately, this one is off the chain. Abuelita style cuisine at its finest.

The tacos really look like Mexican flutes compared to how they made them before, how horrible ?
Nice little place in Kenner. Their food is extremely good and portions are huge. You can easily split a dish with another person. My dad is from Nicaragua and he approves this place. Definitely worth the drive if you live closer to the city or somewhere else.

Had lunch here and found the food just ok. Got the carne Assada which had very little flavor and got very tough when it got cold. The beans and rice very tasty but very little beans. The cabbage salad had no dressing not even pickled jalapeño's

I was looking for authentic Nicaraguan food and this restaurant was a letdown. I ordered the Churrasco. It was insipid (flavorless) and salty. The cut of meat and the prep process were not what is expected for the price. I gave two stars because the fried plantains and fried cheese were good. But even then, the cabbage salad was nothing like the authentic salad that comes with plantains and cheese.
