The cutest and most delicious family run restaurant - quite literally my favorite restaurant! Sal, the owner, is usually in the back cooking or mingling with the guests in the dining room. The Veal Penne is my FAVORITE! *Don't miss this spot!*

Let's start with a positive. The food was ok. Now, the rest of the dining experience was a little awkward. The male host went to the bartender, pointed towards us (no one around), and whispered something. Once he moved away, they laughed. While seated, the male host took forever to check on our table. He made several rounds around the restaurant. Finally, when he came to our table, he looked like it took every cell out of him to speak. The restaurant was extremely LOUD as well. The entire experience was weird. Will not be back. Ending with a positive, our server was nice.

Can’t believe we hadn’t eaten here in person until now with having a camp so nearby! The food is great and the portions are huge. We all took food home. They have great Italian classics and lots of seafood dishes too. Their off menu special was my favorite: fried eggplant with a slightly sweeter red sauce and basil with lots of lump crabmeat! We all tried each other’s plates and it was all great!

It is an adventure to get here and you generally have to make reservations; as this place is crazy popular and one of the few good places to eat in the area of the Northshore it is in. They make some really great Italian Creole dishes and the service has always been great. They really are concerned with making sure that you enjoy yourself and their food.

The Sal & Judy's products they sell in stores are just pale reflections of how good it is in the restaurant. Everything I've ever had here I very much enjoyed and I've still got many things to still sample on their menu. I'm a bit sad that it is such a challenging trip to get here from the Southshore as I would eat here far more often if it didn't take so long to get here and you have to really plan ahead and definitely MAKE reservations. It is a long way to drive from New Orleans and find out that you can't just drop in and eat so make sure to call ahead!!! It is definitely worth the trip and is a rewarding and tasty experience.
