Another Broken Egg Cafe

THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF I have EVER encountered! The general manager KRYSTAL JOURNIGAN should not be in the service industry, and her assistant manager GRACE MANUEL along with bartenders PAIGE BABINEAUX & TAYLOR WILSON follow her terrible lead. On Feb. 13th, 2024, I went to Another Broken Egg Cafe for breakfast. My server Emily Barel was great, and the meal was also fantastic. I left her a nice tip for her services. What transpired after this was 100% inexcusable! My friend, who dined with me, accidentally left his credit card at the restaurant. I went back to get it for him. After waiting nearly 30 minutes for someone to retrieve it, I was told to show a copy of his drivers license and for him to call to confirm my pick up due to security purposes (completely understandable, aside from the long wait). After showing this, I was then told, he would just have to come-in himself to get it. I asked the manager what the confusion was about, as I had now spent nearly an hour waiting for no-reason, and she proceeded to berate me in-front of all the clientele and ordered me to leave. She called me a "p@$sy" in-front of her clients, along with other choice words. I then had to call the police and came back with my friend to retrieve his credit card and filed a formal complaint on this establishment. Up until the point of this interaction, we had experienced a very pleasant dining experience. I really hope that nobody else experiences the humiliation that I had to go through.

The food was delicious! Customer service was good also; but, they seemed to not have enough wait staff for the # of customers that morning. The atmosphere was good; clean establishment with great decor. We will go again and tell others about this place!!!

They have a waitlist that you can do online. The waitress made a recommendation to me for the omelette & it was delicious. The food was really good! The restaurant was beautiful, calm environment & relaxing! The spiked coffee is really good but you may have to go for a walk because it is not for the weak! I love this place!

Parking: You may have to drive around a couple of times but I got a great spot

Second time there loved it all

This was our first time dining here, and can say with 100% certainty that it will not be our last! Our server was so so sweet and the food was amazing :) Can't wait to come back!

I normally would have given this place five stars on everything, because I normally love everything about it. Today was the exception. My waitress was very rude. We ordered coffee and orange juice for starters. I had oj, he had a coffee. You guys serve two kinds of coffee, she never bothered to ask what kind of coffee he would like...just walked off. When she returned she just said uh it's house blend, idk. She bought out two waters which were just in the way (we didn't ask for them)
Then we ordered... she finally brought the food out...And I asked her to remove the unwanted water and bring him a oj ...her reply was you want ANOTHER oj? Um yeah... he gotta have something to drink with his food. He just drinks coffee first ...she rolled her eyes and went got it and we never saw her again... never once asked him if he wanted any more coffee before our food came out, didn't check to see if our food was good after it came out and would not bring the bill. I had to flag another waitress down to get the bill so needless to say she really didn't get a tip.. I tip good, when it's earned... my boyfriend had never been there... I have.. I have been raving on this place and he was so disappointed... he really loved his food so that's a plus... mine however was so full of nuts that I couldn't eat it... not sure if we will ever be back after this...

When I come to Lafayette, my favorite "go to" breakfast stop is Another Broken Egg. I love their coffee! This visit I enjoyed the Monterey Power Omelette which was very tasty. Madison M was very attentive, and her service helped make this another wonderful experience!

My server Paige was really awesome, so this is nothing on her, but I was really dissatisfied with the food. I ordered a double stack of pancakes... over 6 dollars??? For how dense and small they were? Crazy! The scrambled eggs tasted like carton eggs, and apparently you don't get real eggs unless you ask for shelled eggs. I asked for a cup of ice to pour my orange juice into, and I had to leave it--looked like mold on the ice or black grime on the cup...nasty! Wouldn't be surprised if there were roaches in the back. Won't be coming back unfortunately. Girls at the host stand were sweet though!!

Atmosphere is very chill and fancy. Service is never bad. I have had some food come out cold before, but overall it’s very good.
