The place is fine. Be prepared to wait to get in during popular times. We waited more than an hour. Much of the dishes seem designed to seem high end rather than actually tasting better. I had an omlet with crab that just did not work. I recently had the hey Lucy omelet. It was much better. Maybe stay away from the specials for there established.

I forget the name of the dish but it was a scramble plate w/ chorizo, and came with guacamole, salsa and tortillas (I was craving breakfast burritos and it satisfied the heck out of that craving! The breakfast potatoes were seasoned deliciously and the staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend!P.s I was so close to getting the lobster and brie cheese omelet so I am so looking forward to going back and trying that. It won't be long for sure

3/31/24- Easter Sunday, during our family gathering weekend, we went here for brunch. We'vebeen here a few times before. Everything was delicious. This time, we had the Biscuit Beignets, they were really good! Our server was good.I'll certainly be back next time I'm in Lafayette.

Visited for a bachelorette brunch for my niece. Wasn't able to make reservations, but our wait wasn't very long. Our waitress was very knowledgeable & friendly. I ordered from the Seasonal Menu & had the "Fall Louisiana Benedict" & paired it with ABE Famous Infused Mary. The meal was savory, very flavorful, something I'd order again (too bad it's seasonal). The Bloody Mary was good, & had a nice little kick of spice. Everything about our visit & meal was great. Everyone enjoyed their food & the atmosphere.

We have been to many broken eggs in texas and lousiana many times enough to say the chain is our favorite brunch spot. This last time we went, it was busy, and we were pretty neglected. The waitress came by to take our order and drop off our drinks and that was it till i got the manager. I couldn't even get water till I asked the manager for one to go. I even had a to go order. I should have checked it before we left because when we got home it was the wrong order and did not look good. I wanted the season lemon pound cake French toast but I got the goat cheese pancakes. The manager was nice and gave us 20% off. However, it still might be a while before we try to come back. :(
