Absolutely amazing stay at the Guesthouse! We stayed in the Birdsnest Room. There is a venue in the guesthouse, where bands were playing. The noise from the concert could not be heard in the room/very minimal noise from the concert. The bands were amazing and the concert goers were respectful. It was such a great atmosphere throughout the whole evening.Bathroom: The Birdsnest is the only room with its own bathroom. This bathroom has no showers but a nice and clean bathtub. We didn't use the bathtub, we used the communal showers on the ground floor. Clean towels, soaps, and even a toothbrush was provided.Room: Bed was super comfortable and the room was clean and little small birds all over the room which was a nice touch.Location: Just a few minutes away from downtown, Restaurants, bakery, supermarket and lots of other bars in a short walking distance. (5-10 minutes)Facilities: There is a kichen with communal fridge, freezer with ice, utensils and free coffee. There is a sitting room with games and comfy couches.Parking: we arrived on a friday afternoon, that meant parking on the road is free after 5pm and all weekend so we could park next to the guesthouse on the road (during the week there are a few parking lots nearby but not sure about the costs)Customer Service: Zeke was there to answer our questions, he was really friendly and accomodating. The person at the door for the concert was super friendly as well and our very favourite was 14 the cat who even spent the morning hanging out with us on the porch. The check in is via doorcode so there is no person to checkin with but the communication via mail was quick and helpful. The only little thing that could have been better was the broken shutters at the windows that could be fixed. We really enjoyed out time at the Blue Moon, it was our favourite place to stay on our whole roadtrip and if we come back, we definitely will stay there again!

?????⚪️Every Wednesday a Cajun Jam is organized, that evening it was Drew Simon and every Wednesday, the friendly Chef Paco of Rayne cooks for this occasion. He prepares and offers a delicious and traditional rice and gravy. That evening I thought I had prepared stewed pork, it was super tasty and very spicy!I loved the music, the atmosphere and the food of course.

This was my 2nd time staying at the Inn, and it is always a fantastic experience. The room was clean and perfect for a couple. The only gripe I have is that the shades on the windows are in desperate need of repair. There was a clear view from the street to our room (the bird's nest). Taking matters into our hands, we found fresh bed linen in the wardrobe and hung them over the windows best we could for much needed privacy. Obviously, this is an easy fix for the Inn. It is centrally located with parking across the street. We very much enjoyed our time here and this will always be my first choice for shut eye in Lafayette.

The experience at this place was on a complete different level! I was transported into another world when I stepped in this bar. Amazing atmosphere! You can just feel the great vibes of having a good time and not having a single worry in the world. You see people of different races and ages having a blast! I will return here when I am back in LA!

I haven't stayed at the inn, but I can say the bar is a great venue for live music. It's small, intimate and funky.

Big name band advertised from 8-11:59pmCollected $15 at door. 10:30 pm & still no headliner. No band at all until 9:30pm. No personnel around to ask & no one answers phone. No food served here eccept pork truck out on street. This is a ripoff. An 8pm show with a $15 cover & people get cover band after 9:30 & no headliner still after 10:30pm.

This place is incredible. Zeek is the most amazing bartender I have had. He listened to what I like and made me a drink that will now be my go to. Everyone should make a stop here whether visiting or if they are a local. I am so glad I was able to visit.

This is a review based upon numerous past experiences and specifically my last visit (during Festival International):There is simply not enough space to watch music at this location. After ~75 people fill the miniscule dance floor, paltry bar area, there is simply nowhere to experience the music that is being played. The people at the door will happily continue to take covers regardless. Sound and video monitors on the back patio would help paying patrons experience what they paid for, but they are non-existent.Long story short: don't pay to see music here unless there isn't a crowd.

Blue Moon guest house gives a great local experience, opportunity to meet with locals and hear brilliant music at the bar with the convenience of having a comfortable bed next door. Would definitely return!

If you like live music, cool atmosphere, fun bar and people.. plus a super clean, comfortable place to stay., that is close to great places to have dinner and an ice cream bar across the street... look no further.. this is your place!

I booked The Birds Nest room in 2022 for my cousin’s band, and had to book it again when I saw another friend playing for Festival International. It’s like my own private bedroom with the comfiest bed! I would recommend curtains, or replacing the few slats in the blinds in the windows though. And a small fridge would be awesome in the room. I did request for the window unit to be on before my arrival the second time, and the room was the perfect temp. And like the first time I booked, everything was neat and clean. I will be booking again in the future, but I made that decision after my first stay, obviously. Keep doing what y’all are doing. Always love Blue Moon! For shows and a place to stay!
