I think it's a great place to stop by to get a quick oyster poboy sandwich. The owner was amazing to talk to and very accommodating. Everybody should make an effort to come here.

I found this restaurant in a Newsbreak article "10 Black-Owned Restaurants in Louisiana" on 7/18/2024 (Thurs). I was visiting the Lafayette area to celebrate my relative's birthday on 7/19/2024 (Fri). I asked her about restaurants in the area. She called a few names, and then I remembered the article I had read the day before about the restaurants. I went back to the article, and Callihan's was the restaurant that caught my attention. Who would have guessed I would have been eating there the very next day. Divine Intervention! I will be back with more people. Everything was SUPERB!!

Stop on our way back home from Florida to Texas and stopped in for lunch.. Sweet hostess and food was great!!

Callihan's hosted and catered a 120+ person retirement party for my mother in June 2024, and we couldn't have been happier. The venue and presentation were classy and beautiful, and the food was outstanding! But absolutely nothing beat the service we received. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly helpful and ready to make our party a success. There were a few balls we almost dropped, but they were right there to help us out every time. And Mrs. Callihan, herself, couldn't have been more pleasurable to work with. She was responsive to our questions, amenable to our special requests, and soooo very flexible with her menu options. I am so happy we trusted her to host this special occasion. I didn't think we'd be able to pull off such an impressive event with our limited budget, but with Mrs. Callihan's passion for great food and presentation, it was a tremendous success. She infused our party with some much appreciated soul. Highly recommended!!!

My daughters wanted to host a retirement celebration for me. My husband and I had eaten at Callihan's once for lunch, and I was fascinated with how beautiful the restaurant was so my husband and the girls decided to check it out. The staff was wonderful and so accommodating. The facility was as beautiful as I had remembered. What a perfect place for a wedding reception, party, or whatever! As the party came to a close, there was a lot of work and cleanup to do. The staff was so very helpful. Thank you, Callihans, for helping make this such a special night.
