Fantastic drinks and ambiance. We tried multi but the espresso martini was hands down winner!

Clearly the best dinner option I’ve been to in Lafayette.
Service was truly great, classy setting and food was top notch. We had 6 people and everyone was pleased.
Will certainly make this my go to now.

Absolutely phenomenal night at Charley G’s. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection — one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. After dinner, we moved to the bar and the night turned into an unforgettable experience. The pianist had the entire place alive, taking requests while everyone sang along, and the energy was unreal. Great drinks, amazing atmosphere, top-tier food, and the kind of night you talk about for weeks afterward. This place truly delivers on every level.

In town for Thanksgiving & had a phenomenal date night with the wife while family watched the kids. Great food. Service & crowd were friendly in a real way— will definitely be back.

Miles was an excellent server. Duck and andouille gumbo is outstanding. Crab cakes are the best! Paul Tassin on piano — wonderful!

Best Culinary experience of my life thus far. Everything made from scratch, from the gnocchi to the puff pastry. Fresh, flavorful, unique. Service was professional, atmosphere was classy, food was delicious. We will be going back regularly.

High end quality in all aspects of dining. Piano music lilting in background while enjoying fresh seafood using imaginative recipes

Wonderful meal of Escargots, Turtle Soup, Sea Bass and Crab Cake. Service was perfect-checked with us often but didn't push or rush us at all. Drinks very nice-Grey Goose Martini and Old Fashioned. Also a nice glass of Pinot Grigio. To top it all off they gave us each a complimentary dessert in honor of our 49th Wedding Anniversary! Caramel cheesecake and Bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream! Both were yummy! Charley G's is always a lovely evening out with consistently good food.

We visited Charlie G’s last night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The atmosphere was nice, and the service team was friendly and attentive. Cocktails, appetizers, and soups were all outstanding. This was the highlight of our night and a great start to the meal.

Unfortunately, everything went downhill once the entrées arrived. Three of the four people in our party ordered steak, and every single one was undercooked — not just slightly, but to the point that all three had to be sent back. That completely threw off the cadence of the meal. One person began eating while the rest of us waited, sides were sitting on the table cooling, and by the time our steaks returned, the rhythm of dinner was gone.

When the steaks came back, they were predictably overcooked and dried out. You just can’t fix a steak once it’s been sent back to the kitchen. The same thing happened with the lobster. It was dry and lifeless by the time it reached the table.

For a $720 bill, essentially a luxury car note, the experience was hugely disappointing. The staff did apologize but didn’t offer even a complimentary dessert to acknowledge the situation. I left hungry and had dessert somewhere else. That level of indifference is unacceptable.

I would strongly advise against ordering steak here. The rest of the food seemed solid, but whoever is on the grill station simply doesn’t have the skill or consistency needed to handle premium cuts — especially dry-aged beef at this price point. A restaurant charging that much should have a chef who can execute steak properly every single time. Worth noting; they were not busy.

Really unfortunate, because the front of house and bar team clearly care. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t go back for dinner, maybe just for drinks and appetizers. With so much great food in Lafayette at more reasonable price points, I’d highly advise that you just go somewhere else. We had a better meal served by a catering company at a wedding the night before.

Incredible! An amazing, delicious meal with outstanding service. Charley G's is consistent with its amazing service, delicious food and lovely ambiance. The piano player was very good, yet the music was subtle so we could have a conversation. Charley G's is one of my two favorite restaurants in Lafayette.
