Incredible! An amazing, delicious meal with outstanding service. Charley G's is consistent with its amazing service, delicious food and lovely ambiance. The piano player was very good, yet the music was subtle so we could have a conversation. Charley G's is one of my two favorite restaurants in Lafayette.
We were disappointed in the menu. We really looked forward to lobster fries as an appetizer. We thought the fish selection for the market special was an of choice and we struggled to decide what we would want to eat from the small selection on the menu. While we did settle on the shrimp risotto jambalaya and the king salmon we were still a little disappointed by the charge on such a simple dish the jambalaya was. We did get a dessert to take home for my Boyfriend's birthday...
The food and the service were phenomenal! The food was excellent — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was just as good as the food. Our server was friendly and attentive. The staff checked in at just the right times and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.
