I had reboil crawfish some of the crawfish wasn’t fresh they were cold and didn’t taste so great. They crawfish is not always fresh especially in the mornings you tell them you want fresh boil crawfish they give you half fresh and the rest is just dipped in the water from the crawfish they had the day before

I'm posting this because of how my husband was treated when he went to pick up our crawish order. We ordered 2 sacks of crawfish that were quoted to us at $125 per sack. When he arrived to pick them up this morning the price had changed to $150 per sack. He asked why didn't they call the people who pre-ordered, because that is a $50 difference, he may not have brought enough cash. He also asked if they would honor the quoted price. The lady at the counter called the "owner" to have him talk to my husband to explain that the price went up overnight and he couldn't honor the quoted price; which would have been understandable, however, it would have been nice to know in advance instead of springing it on them at the register. Some people just can't squeeze out extra money on the fly these days. Still my husband was going to buy them, but then the man proceeds to ask, 'if the gas station or Walmart goes up on their prices in the middle of the night, do we expect them to call us?' The most insulting analogy ever to come out of the face of a small business owner. {First of all, if I pre-order something from Walmart, my price is locked in (and they will do a price match); and gas stations are a dime a dozen.... competition is makes it easy to find better deals with savings apps, coupons. etc.} The owner also advised us that we can "take it or leave it". Well, we left it. My sister-in-law moved to West Virginia after Katrina and has place a $1200- $2000 seafood order every year since then. We will not be using Chez Francois to fill those orders ever again. There are too many other seafood businesses out there I'd prefer to give my hard earned money to. I refuse to support someone who doesn't respect my sacrifice. We did use a local competitor and happily paid $150 per sack. It is worth the extra 30 minutes in my round trip to patron a small business that recognizes how to treat customers.

My fiancé just went get some crawfish @3:30 pm today January 18, 2024 and it was horrible we ask for spicy they were mild and when I mean mild they were mild. 34.99 for a 3 pound 54.99 for a 5 and they were disgusting plus had to play 6.76 in cash just to boil some nasty tasting crawfish and they don’t clean them they boil dead ones with sticks and dirt and all definitely wasn’t worth $89.98 for the nastiest crawfish I ever tasted in my life. And this a first for me because we bought from here before and was good but today was disgusting.

I called to place an order of boiled blue point crabs on 10-30-23 and the lady asked me what time would I be picking them up so the crabs can be ready. I told her the time and when I made it there at the time I said the crabs still were not ready. When I got there she said they don't start to boil them until the customer gets there. I mentioned that was not what was told to me over the phone. So I overlooked red flag #1 & waited patiently for about 45 minutes for spicy blue point crabs for a seafood gumbo that I was cooking for family and friends (wait time red flag #2). The crabs were not good and has ruined over $100 worth of meaty seafood gumbo. I didn't realize it until after they were added to the pot. (This was a waste of my time, money, and effort with cooking a huge pot of gumbo. Also, pay attention to the price that is actually being charged to your card. I didn't realize until later after looking at my receipt that the total was different from what she said verbally. They are closed now, but I will contact them tomorrow. I wish I would have read some reviews prior to purchasing and trying this place for the first time. They had some good reviews but it was years ago from what I'm noticing now.

Just spent $30 on a dozen boiled crabs and only 3 had had some meat in them. Very disappointed and a waste of money

Bought packs of their frozen crawfish tail meat. Extremely fishy and had an ammonia smell. Now that I’m reading the other reviews, stay far away from this place. They will get someone sick!

My fiance and I went in the store last Saturday, day before Easter. I had been craving crawfish for awhile. Lol. Against better judgement. We decided to go there. The reason I'm saying against better judgement is because of all the bad reviews. Well I tried to see for myself. The young lady behind the register was so snappy at everyone. I almost didn't want to ask any questions. She would be like "WHAT"!! Ithe rudest tone. We didn't let it get to us. So Thankfully I only spent like $50. There were people in there spending like $400. Little did they know these crawfish were horrible. Not just a little bit over salty, tremendously over salted. Then the pepper ?️?️?️. Omg. My fiance even tried to rinse them off for me. I so wanted them. I cannot believe the spice. I don't think anyone could have enjoyed those things. Especially if you have children. I was going to call them and tell them about it but it wouldn't do any good. These ladies are soo rude. I don't know how else to put it. They act like you're bothering them when you are placing the order. Idk how they are even still in business. P.S. I tried to give one to my dog, he actually ran away from the thing.

I had just purchased some boiled crawfish from Chez Francois Seafood they were so salty I couldn’t even eat them. I called the first time they left me on hold for 20 minutes and hung up. I called back 3 more times on the last call they finally put the manger are whoever she is on the phone. I explained to her that the crawfish was salty she claims they don’t boil with salt it’s no way it was so salty I had to stop eating them. Can’t get my service again!!

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE !!!!! For a first time customer , I was not explained the way they accept EBT & the lady was getting very rude. Pls!! And can’t speak no English .Do better when you trying to own a business . I Didn’t even try the food I was so ready to get out of that smelly place ! And a rat flew past my foot while waiting for my order .

Went to Chez Francois today for a pound of medium spiced boiled shrimp and was so disappointed. I paid 16.99 a pound for large shrimp and i got about 10 and whatI received made me ill. The shrimp tasted like they were just dipped in hot water and were not seasoned at all. The young cashier was unfriendly and kept me waiting for 30 minutes. I only say this to say that if you don't respect your customers enough to smile or make sure their food is right you shouldn't be in business. We have to learn how to stop giving our business to these places where the customers are not appreciated. Never ever again.

The place smells HORRIBLE!!!!! the lady that works cashier is extremely rude. A friend of mine ordered from them and i taste tested a few HORRIBLE CRAWFISH and they have her a stomach bug and my stomach was turning for hours !! they need to be inspected something isn’t right
