Outside of Cali El Pollo Loco is SO MUCH BETTER! LA.... AZ..... you get what you pay for.

Great chicken, terrible customer service. Stand at the counter as long as you wish. They will not offer help unless you ask. You will have to ask for everything like plates, utensils, napkins, lids. they have a giant window decal telling you that if you order their 16 pc meal that you get a half chicken for free. If you don’t specifically ask about it, they will not offer it or honor their promotion later if you specifically mention it without a great deal of hassle.

Restroom on par with average middle of no where gas station.

Will not return. Food not worth the problems.

I can't comment on the atmosphere because I'
m usually in the drive thru. The food is great. I've tried a few different things there and have grown to favorite the avocado items and I love the chicken nachos 😋 I will go back and you should try it as well.

So they have advertised that you get 1/2 a chicken when you order a 16 or more family meal! The customer shouldn’t have to ask for the 1/2 chicken when it’s advertised that it comes with it for free when you order a 16 piece meal but the lady at the window today was very rude and said that we have to order it and it’s not automatic that it’s free but has to be requested! She said “I’ll give it to you this time” like seriously lady it comes with my 16 piece meal and as the customer we shouldn’t have to request something that is free with my purchase! The issue is we not the whole 1/2 chicken being free and us not getting it unless requested but it was the lady’s attitude about the promotion and how she treated us as the customer! She seems mad that we even asked about the 1/2 chicken and that she had to give us the 1/2 chicken for free! I mean why promote something that you aren’t going to even offer or give your customers! This employee at the window needs to be moved from taking order because she has not customer service and a bad attitude!

The shrimp tostadas are delicious (shrimp and chicken also). Everything that I've tried is really good. Love the seasoning! Prices are also reasonable.

Upscale Mexican fast food.

Food tasted very good. Nice salsa bar.

Portion size was a little small for me, but im a big eater, fine for normal people.

We dined in at El Pollo Loco on Johnson St. today. The girl taking orders forgot to put in our order as we waited for 20 minutes, while she played on her phone. Finally had to ask what was taking so long. Salsa bar was a mess, as were both bathrooms. Management, take notice. Not going back!

Uber eats is a joke, it was buy one get one and it did not apply. Angry. The food got us sick; it was cold. We are not happy. Also packed full of cilantro and got the sauce with it in it as well when we put ranch. I cannot have cilantro! We want a refund badly but the app we used is ridiculous. Never again. Also, I tried calling and nobody answered. :(

I've been dining at El Pollo Loco in Lafayette, LA since it opened.
Tonight, I went to pickup dinner and frankly I was extremely disappointed. Tonight, I ordered dinner and the person taking my order seemed incoveniced when taking my order in the drive-thru. I purchased the Leg and Thigh meal and the chicken was overcooked, the exterior skin inedible. The beans and rice were flavorless. I got my wife a Grande Avocado Chicken Bowl and she said the same it was flavorless an unappetizing, she ended up not eating it. It's disappointing to experience poor quality food, especially when this location opened and it was great.

I’ve been a Taco Bell die hard ever since my mom ate Taco Bell when I was in her womb. I was literally born with Taco Bell addiction. This is the only place I found to be consistently better with ingredients and portions across-the-board when compared to price. Roughly half the time I eat anywhere else I usually wind up leaving thinking “man, I should’ve just got Taco Bell because I’d be the same level of full for way less money”. Out of the 10 times or so that I’ve eaten here, I’ve never once left with that feeling. Bravo El Pollo Loco, bravo.

Would not suggest. A slight step above taco bell. Mid at best. The chicken was okay. All the sides are not flavorful. Nothing here screams Latin. I walked in and I felt like I was at taco bell. The service was bad. I watched the girl at the register walk away and touch food on the line preparing someone's order with no gloves. Game me my money for my order. Walked back to the line, did not wash her hands, still no gloves, and started to prepare another order. Dropped broccoli on the table and put it back in the bowl. It appears to be a clean environment but it's clear why there was no one else here. I will not be back.

I don’t have a problem with the food here. So the 1 star is a result for tonight’s service. I’ve frequented El Pollo Loco many times since it opened but at the drive thru. This evening, 8/8/24 @ about 8:35 pm, I decide to park and go inside for the very first time. As soon as I walked in and approached the counter to order, an employee behind the counter immediately walks up, gestures around and says nothing is working there, so assumedly I can’t order. But there were 2 cars at the drive thru when I drove up. So I exit and get in my car and decide to try the drive thru just to see. I was able to order, pay and get my food with no problem. But I thought nothing was working? Seems like the person who stated it just didn’t want to take the order. I don’t appreciate stuff like that. Please don’t lie to customers just because you don’t feel like taking orders and serving.
