I recently dined at Half Shell Oyster House and, unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. While the food was decent, the overall experience was severely affected by the unprofessional behavior of the manager on duty.
From the moment I had an issue with my meal, the manager, Brook, was dismissive and lacked any form of customer service skills.
Instead of listening to my concerns, she appeared uninterested and even condescending in her responses. I have been to many restaurants and know that things can go wrong, but how management handles such situations is key, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst encounters l've had.

So, check out the largest ice cube that I’ve ever seen in this Old Fashioned. It’s nearly as large as the glass! I spoke to Brook, the manager. She did nothing to make this right. If they want to skimp on the alcohol and keep prices high, they should disclose the quantity and try to create an illusion with a huge ice cube.They have signs up that “alcohol sales are final.” I suspect that Brook has had this had complaint before. I can’t comment on the food. There are too many good restaurants to support this business. I won’t be back.

Outstanding seafood restaurant in Lafayette South. Sitting at the bar was excellent - great service, good conversation, super fresh food. I highly recommend charbroiled Argentinian shrimp as appetizer. My blackened fish with crab and shrimp topper was phenomenal, almost a scampi with the amount of butter served. Great prices on nightly drink specials. Oysters are always a must. Good restaurant gumbo. Can't go wrong, although the side of grits were a throwaway after feasting on all the rest.

I love Oysters. This a place is close by where my boyfriend lives we always have a great time. I found a pearl on one of the oysters. I was lucky.

9/5/24 Ordered the redfish Orleans with a side of asparagus and broccoli. Overpriced for such small portions, the asparagus so shriveled up that it should not have been served. The oysters were perfect, and the service was top tier, our waitress was amazing.

Oysters wasn’t fully dressed and whose that where dressed all tasted the same bland . I ordered 4 pieces of catfish with no sides and an oyster sampler $58.00. Not going back a second time.

Staff is nice, very attentive. Atmosphere nice, had like 4 tables , as for the food it's ok. Oyster I would rate 7/10 size was ok. It wasn't jiggly big, mouth watering juicy, it was fair. Steaks, I had both the rib eye and surf and turf, I ordered medium rare, it came out medium well. Sauce on top was the flavor , the steak didn't . The surf and turf was soft, easy to slice medium rare but tasted dry, flavor wasn't there. Maybe because I'm a chef I'm more hard to please. Will give it another try.

I ordered the fried shrimp and loaded potato and the sweet potato dessert I totally enjoyed the service the waitress took excellent care of 6 yr old son and father were not impressed with their meal but did say they enjoyed the service and waitress

Food was amazing as usual, and while i usually have amazing customer service experiences at this location, it wasn’t that way with my most recent visit. I came for a togo order and was barely even acknowledged by Ms.Kylee at the Hostess table. No warm greeting just a “you got a pickup order”. She was extremely cold and expressionless. I felt extremely uncomfortable.
