This is one of the premier venues in Lafayette for live music, especially cajun music. Some of the top bands in town play in here for only a 10 dollar cover charge. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The servers work hard, although sometimes it's just faster to get your drinks at the bar. If you want to dance, there is usually a friendly crowd there that is willing to dance with you. If you see somebody who is dancing around, don't be shy just ask them to dance. There is a very good chance you are gonna make a new friend. This place is an amazing living cultural landmark. Check out their facebook page to know who's playing. They update that every week. Hideaway is not some fancy smancy overpriced chain, it is living culture! If you want to really experience live cajun/zydeco musical, dance culture, this place is a must!

Finally tried Hideaway on Lee and we were not disappointed. We went for apps and drinks late yesterday evening. The brussels sprouts were delicious and the deviled eggs were so different and flavorful! The old fashioned could have been better. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu options!
Several times I have been charged with wrong amount. Once I have been charged for the entire table instead of only my part, once I have been charged for full price but we ordered all our drinks during happy hours. The first time I went back and they reimbursed me but last time I didn’t have time so I just paid more than I was suppose to and I was mad to see problems happening several times. I am reluctant to give them my card to open a table.

Tried this place out after a recommendation, being visitors from the U.K. It has a real good vibe and food was good, plenty of people just having a good time. Decided to dine inside but outside was as busy with a local band playing cajun music. If we had more time then we would most definitely be back!

We had the Mexicali burger, CaliSmash, and a BLT. They tasted great and highly recommend getting the onion rings! Our waitress with the flower Doc Martins took good care of us. We loved the atmosphere.

Awful service, absolutely ruined my daughters graduation celebration. Our waitress was so rude and on a power trip. My bill was 300 dollars which I would expect great service. Tried to charge us 10 a person because we were sitting outside eating when the band started. Our reservation was a hour before the band started, but we were still waiting on food. I put a review but they deleted it. Pitiful service. So disappointed. Charges a cake fee, which we were never told about when the reservation was made. Multiple things and reasons for this review.
