Finally got to eat here and wow, delicious isn't even good enough of a word to describe the food here! We got several things to try and just a warning, the portions are HUGE, so either have a big appetite or prepare to have leftovers and make a couple meals out of even their regular size! The crawfish fried rice was like etoufee and fried rice combined so of course tasted amazing, the shrimp curry was also pretty amazing and tasted great, could have maybe had a stronger curry taste but was delicious as-is, teriyaki chicken fried rice was also extremely tasty and had a good amount of vegetables which was also really nice, the bang-bang shrimp were large, tasty and well sauced with the bang-bang sauce. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes ❤️❤️

I tried Hot Food Express on a whim. I am so glad I did. I can only speak about the shrimp poboy but it is delicious. Price is great and it comes overstuffed. I wish I knew about them sooner. I’ll be sure to go back whenever I am visiting

Recently, we had a large group decide to go to Hot Food Express for our monthly outing. I was so happy they chose it, because it's just one of those special places where I know the food will be delicious, and the staff and crew only add to my experience of being able to get to Lafayette. I am and will always be a fan of Hot Food Express. It was an awesome outing with friends and GREAT FOOD could only add to the fellowship, which it absolutely did!! THANK YOU!

Ordered crawfish fried rice and s fried porkchop plate drove home ( almost 30min from restaurant) only to get home and bite into a burnt crust un cooked meat porkchop and my wife's crawfish rice had cold dried up crawfish on top like it was just thrown on top. Called the restaurant and explained my situation and was told the only way to get a refund or credit would be to bring the food back to the restaurant. At this time it was 8:51pm and they closed at 9:00pm. I told the worker where I lived and that there was no way I would .ake it there before they closed and she said that there was nothing they could do for me. Didn't offer for me to come in the next day and get the matter taken care of or anything. Poor customer service in my opinion. There food is a lil $$$ and should be of great quality no matter what time of business hour it is. You don't always get what you pay for but Damn...... I was on edge about the place before but now I'm truly done...

Please wear HAIR NETS IN THE KITCHEN!! There was hair in my plate today(7/26/24)! Food was good up until that point!! Also I miss when ZEE was in the kitchen like back when they first started! The rice was so fresh and NOT OILY like it is now!! It had great taste and quality and no grease/oil in the plate!
