Had their boudin balls for first time bout 6 months ago was awesome, but the last 2 months had different types of all kinds of balls they are all too spicy. Need to lay off the spice. Boudin ball.

The food is amazing. I just tried the fish plate for the first time and it was the best fried fish I've had in my life. I have never liked hushpuppies but I LOVE theirs. The store is so clean and organized. It's very "shoppable" and the variety is pretty vast. The staff is super friendly and personable while expediting service so they can get you in and out if youre in a hurry for some reason.

I went to the Johnston Street location TODAY for the very first time. I met the sweetest man there, Mr. Mike could not have been any nicer. And back he wanted me to sample everything there was. I shouldn’t have bought anything because he loaded me up with so many samples, I’ll have a hard time just eating that. I must admit, though that I did not care for the boudin balls at all. But I don’t want to put that in a review—I would rather talk to them about that. ( if you would like me to talk to you about it, send me a message and I can send you my telephone number)
I definitely will not let that hamper the thought of my first visit. The pork rib knuckles were really good. I had never heard of the fried pork ribs knuckles before. The girl that checked me out was amazing.
I asked her for a sample of the Cracklin. She probably gave me 10 pieces. I told her a sample is usually one and she said they like to be generous. Mr. Mike said that he wanted to make sure that was greatto be that I’ll be back??. Well Mr. Mike, you can bet I will definitely be back. I could not get over the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone. They truly make you feel like family from the moment you walk in the door. Thank you, Mr. Mike and your wonderful staff. I will certainly see you soon. I haven’t had a chance to try everything yet, but maybe I can write a second review once I do. Have a blessed day.

Dietary restrictions: I asked if they use MSG in their Seasoning, and they didn’t answer me so I don’t know. I’m usually allergic to MSG so I would like to know.

Tried them for the first time! A winner! Wish I would dined in because the drive back to Broussard may have allowed the food to not be as hot as I like but it was delicious! A must try if you haven’t!
