Our server was on the ball, respectful, and over all amazing.

What an awful experience. Since it was raining and the parking lot was empty, we had hoped it would be a wonderful and relaxing time. We ordered the duck and the filet topped with crab, and had I known my food was going to taste tire rubber, I would’ve saved my money and chewed on the table instead. We also ordered two lemon drops; the first one was okay and the second one was undrinkable. The mediocre service and appetizers did little to help the situation. Our waitress was kind enough to comp 50% of just the filet and crab meal, but not once did a manager come and speak with us about our experience. Would not recommend dining here.

We had reservations for New Year’s Eve and were seated in a walkway with banquet style chairs, it was obvious it was thrown together. The hostess threw menus on table and walked away. Now our waitress made up for this, she was excellent! Mixed drink menu was a huge let down. With the high price point of menu items you would think all drink menus would be good. An old fashion with maraschino cherries in it is not up to par with menu priced items. Another thing with menu items was having the side items being the same with all entrees and no choice of the matter… again for the main entree prices I’d prefer to pick my sides. Steak entree was good. This could have been an off night but I’m not sure I’d be willing to drop over $100 per person give these issues.

My wife and I are down here from Wisconsin for a quick getaway and we were lucky enough to have been invited to The Mazen Grill by an amazing couple local to the area. The Mazen is an amazing old school Lafeyette Louisiana restaurant. We had some steak, crab and the scoufle at the end was amazing. Great server who really knew his stuff too. Go there, just go. WOW !

A wonderful family birthday celebration. We were a group of 8, and had varied orders including steak, lamb, duck and fish dishes, crab claws, crab avocado salad and a host of desserts. It was fun, festive and delicious. A shout out to our server Sarah who was attentive, efficient and accommodating. A great night for everyone in our group.

I ordered take out a few weeks ago and still thinking about the yummy food. The crab crepe is utterly amazing. We also loved the lollipop lambchops, grape leaves and crabcakes. The team helped to bring the order to my car and it was still warm when I got home. We will definitely be back, hopefully can enjoy a sit down meal.

Went here for the first time and I was impressed. Everything we had was amazing. Crab meat crepe, rack of lamb and veal oscar were all phenomenal. Our waiter Jacob was fantastic. He took very good care of our table and was very attentive to our needs. I will say the restaurant itself could use a deep cleaning. Spider webs, dust and stained chairs were some minor drawbacks, espically at a high end restaurant. The service and food outshine all of the negatives.
Not worth the price. Food was ok but barely warm. Entryway has chairs stacked up on one side, so not very inviting. Floors were sticky, just a dingy interior. Our waitress was great, though. Plenty of other places in Lafayette that are worth the money. Just not for us.

Stopped into this place at about 415 on a Saturday. Wanted to try it out after hearing about it. We were turned away at the door. We were turned away, I guess my blue jeans and polo wasn’t fancy enough since I was turned since I wasn’t business casual.

Overall, the experience was mediocre at best. The pita bread they brought to the table as a starter was very chewy. I order the fried asparagus as an appetizer, the hollandaise sauce had a sweetness to it that I enjoyed however, the plating was weird. Then I ordered the Lamb Paul, which came out cooked perfectly Medium Rare. The sides however, were disappointing and bland. A side plate of julienned vegetables with minimal seasoning and fried potato squares which had no seasoning or flavor. For dessert I ordered the crème brûlée, I absolutely adore crème brûlée and this one was pretty decent. A little grainy for my preference. The old fashioned was amazing, bartender did a great job. However, the main issue came from the server. After receiving my drink, I waited 25 minutes for the server to come back and ask for an appetizer order, I put all my food in at once fearing a long wait for the second course as well. The food came out in a timely manner. When it was time to pay, I waited from 8pm until 8:23pm before I got up and had to ask the bartender to close my check out. My server still not in sight, I heard the bartender ask a few servers where the specific server was and all of them shrugged. It’s disappointing that staff can make or break an experience, not expecting to go back anytime soon.
