I enjoy a meal at Mel's quite often. Great place to meet friends for a cup of coffee and a warm pecan pie. The food is delicious. They even have a delicious chicken and sausage gumbo. The employees have been there for some time. They are all very friendly. Great service. The staff is like family. Service is quick. However sundays are very popular so you may have to wait for a seat but its so worth the wait. ☺️

Very POOR service , unprofessional, and rude . Whole staff was confuse as though it were there first day , and the manager is just as nasty as the crew . 0/10 Do not recommend.

Experience was absolutely terrible, came in for a table of 7 and told us we couldn’t sit because there were only 5 and the other 2 were standing outside of the front door. Four people walked in, and they say them at our table. We were then told that it was a 40 minute wait for a table. Will NEVER return. I was told that “we don’t take disrespect” after I told them that their service was top tier. Previous times I have eaten here it was because it was the only place open. The restaurant is basically Waffle House with a longer wait and worse food. Absolutely 0 out of 5 stars.
