I had the fortunate pleasure to enjoy the tasty morsels of this fine establishment during a most mournful time in my life. This fine establishment prepared the food for the REPAST FOR MY LOVELY SORELY MISSED GREATLY LOVED GRANNY YVONNE FLAX. The owners MiMi & Charles, provided FIRST CLASS SERVICE & QUALITY FOOD in my time of need. We had Mac & Cheese, Red Beans & Rice, Gumbo, Meatballs, Fried Chicken, Finger Sandwiches, Green Salad, Fruit Tray and they had Tea for us as well. This was just what I needed at this time. I'm sure they provide the same for others, but I was FLOORED at the sheer elegance, quality & taste of the food, excellence of the service & the price. Thank you Jesus... Just what I needed. Great food... Great Godly people... Generous people... Timely in all their efforts... I HIGHLY recommend this facility not just for repast, but also for the quality food that's served in the Houma region. I have plans to visit sooner than later.

First timers, lunch on a Saturday. Crab and corn bisque absolutely delicious. Will get a larger bowl next time. Chicken and sausage gumbo with good flavor, lots of meat in a flavorful thin broth. Not the thicker roux based gumbo I am used to, but good. Good thin sliced garlic bread came with all of our lunches. The crab stew was great, large portion, thick brown roux based stew with shrimp, sausage, potato and 2 large fat crabs, halved plus large claws. Crab cake plate came with 2 medium / large cakes, garlic bread and one side. The cakes had lots of white crab meat and a really good flavor. The only drawback is that they were deep fried when the menu said they were baked. Potato salad side was good, on the sweet side, creamy. Reasonable prices, great food. Will definitely be back.

This place is awesome. The only thing better than the service is the food. The atmosphere is comfortable and again, the food is simply delicious. You won't regret it!

I'll be completely honest with this review. I've been to Mimi's on three different occasions with my family. The first thing I'll say is that the food is REALLY good! I can't even lie about that. I wish the service was half decent though, and I don't want to accuse the owners or anyone else of racism, but I felt like I was being treated unfairly because I am white. I assumed it was just my server who didn't care for white people, but on three trips to this place to test it out I was treated poorly by three different servers and the hostess. My food took forever to come out every time. All the waitress we had never made eye contact with us and were as rude as they could possible be. Watching them greet people and service other tables they were smiling and treating everyone wonderfully. The rest of the restaurant just happened to be black. I'm not going to outright say it, but it seemed like racism to me. Even with all that ridiculousness we still gave this place a chance because we loved the food. I can't go back again though. So to sum up my review the food is amazing and the service is wonderful.. if you're not white.
Wonderful food and atmosphere! The crab stew was beautifully presented and so tasty! Fried fish was also perfection!

Staff is very friendly and the place looks nice. I went here for a lunch buffet that had a good amount of options (I don't eat shellfish/pork). When I went they even had BBQ beef ribs. Food was good (not great). Needs more quality/care to their cooking. Great place to watch a game and relax.

Food was AMAZING !! I ordered fried chicken with greens ,cornbread, and fries. The chicken was fried to a perfect crisp, the best I ever had !! This spot gives you a chill vibe & is perfect for any occasion. I will most definitely be going back on my birthday with all my friends !

This is such a dope spot! The food is great and the atmosphere is as well. The owners are very nice and so is the staff. They also have some really good mixed drinks, like the One Two Punch, my favorite. I stopped in on a Friday night and there was a band performing! It was awesome. I was glad to stay in Houma and still have the taste and feel of New Orleans! Perfect date night spot or even just to have dinner with friends. I couldn't stop staring at other people's food. It was so pretty, it looked like a picture. The gumbo was delicious, the wings were so crispy and fresh, not greasy at all! Of course, their chargrilled oysters were served hot, and they were juicy and buttery with plenty bread to dip. Love love this place. We will be back!

Mimi's is home away from home. Spending time with friends/family is what life is about and Mimi's Restaurant and Bar allows that environment to remain in existence within the community. It's a place of great food, drinks, music and "all" types of conversations. What may look average on the outside is anything but on the inside. This restaurant/bar is perfect for groups, casual night, business meetings, holiday parties, etc. If you love to eat good food then come out and dine for a moment. Should you need a drink to mellow out from a hard week at work, cocktails are waiting. Now lets not forget about dancing. The band and/or DJ will take you to a place you've never been and will remind you to come back to Mimi's. If you don't believe me then come and see for yourself. Hint, hint, Friday nights are hot and on fire. See you soon...
