Great service and clean environment. Nurses and doctor took care of me without having to ask for anything extra.

Didn’t have to wait very long. Staff was very kind, especially Ilissa-nurse practitioner.

The Er sucks, I was there everyweek for my high risk pregnancy. They would brush it off when I came in, called obgyn and I would get admitted everytime. Er wanted me to go home with my 1 month old at the time, he was so skinny and I had to yell at them for a tummy ultrasound.... 100% block. Post op Dr said if i hadn't done that, he wouldve died that night. other then the er, I love the hospital. they were amazing and on top when I went into shock. they had been with me my whole pregnancy and they held my hand

This is my second time having an unpleasant experience with this hospital!! I called the other day to get some medical advise because I brought my son to the doctor that day to get his vaccines and he was running fever. By the time he ran fever his pediatricians office was closed and everytime I tried to contact the doctor on call it just beeped and didnt ring at all! So like any mother would do I called the hospital to ask them what is the best thing to do to bring his fever. Whoever I spoke to asked me how much my son weighed and I told her I didn't remember if the doctor said 12 or 13 beings I have two small children to handle alone I wasnt really paying too much mind so I didnt really hear if it was 12 or 13 she had told me!! Do you know this lady on the phone told me "Ok so which one is it? You brought him to the doctor today and you dont know how much he weighs" EXCUSE ME FOR HAVING A LOT ON MY PLATE THAT I DONT REMEMBER AND IM TRYING TO BREAK MY SONS FEVER!! instead of helping me she caught an attitide im so sick and tired of these rude ass employees at this hospital!

Our child development MIS-C , a serious illness that develops weeks after having Covid. It is what kills children that have had Covid.

We took our child to this hospital after suspecting MIS-C. They ran test and said everything looked good on labs and it wasn't MIS-C. He's condition deteriorated while in this hospital. The doctors and nurses avoided our room. The third day I asked for his lab results and low and behold he had flags that pointed to MIS-C. I was furious to say the least.

They had time to hang a sign on our door but they wouldn't bring fresh towels, take the trash out or even do routine checks even though he was screaming in pain so loud you could hear him from the nurses station. His immune system was attacking his organs.

On the 5th day we asked to be discharged so we could do something for our child. They had no problem releasing him because they couldn't understand basic medical labs much less have the ability to properly treat him.

I understand MIS-C is rare and poorly understood. Im a college dropout and figured it out though.

Everyone makes mistakes. It's okay to be wrong but when you're in over your head just refer people to a specialist. Don't let people's children suffer just to cash in on more hospital days stayed. They're lucky our child didn't die there.

Avoid this hospital if you can even call it one.

I can’t recommend Women’s and Children’s enough. They made the past couple of days so much better than the days before. They took such good care of our son Urijah. Ms. Tabitha and crew during the day are such rockstars. Urijah normally hates dealing with Doctors and Nurses but they gained his trust very quick. We just wanted to shout out all of the nurses, I truly can’t remember all of their names but Ms. Tabitha and Miss Annie in pediatrics really stood out. Thank y’all so much for getting our little man right!!!

Hannah did my ultrasound. I was in a lot of pain and she was gentle and walked me through everything step by step. She is amazing!!! After being in and out of the ER multiple times in the last week, she was hands down the best sonographer I've ever had! Thank you for being so kind, Hannah, you deserve the world! Words cannot describe how much I appreciate you :)

Just got to witness my third baby being born! And after the birth of my first and second, you'd think things would be more routine, but nope. The doctors, nurses, techs, and honestly the entire staff seem to be as happier and more helpful as the years go by. Very much appreciate you guys! God bless all of you!

This hospital deserves 0 stars. We came in with my 7 year old, who has level 3 autism is nonverbal, has cerebral palsy, a vp shunt and panhypopituituism. He threw himself back and hit his head on a box toy which left a huge not and a puncture wound. We sat there for atleast 2 hours. Waiting room was empty almost. My son became combative because as I said he's autistic, we ask the nurse while my son is hitting and biting himself how much longer it woukd be and we were told they had no idea. The bedside manner of these people is disgusting they make you feel like a burden. We left went to lafayette general, walked in was triaged and immediately taken to a room for him to be examined. They interacted with him were caring and seemed to actually love their job. I've been going to woman and children's since my kids were there in the nicu. The switch came to lourdes and it all went down hill it also says a lot when plenty of my kids specialist including their last pediatrician are leaving or left because of the switch. Lourdes is not where you want to be.

If anyone is considering going to the ER there please read this……..beware of the NP BRITTNEY LANCLOS!!!! Please don’t do it!!!! I had the most horrible experience with this practitioner and hope that nobody else ever has to grow through it. She dismissed every discomfort I had, told me my injury was my fault ( was an abscess) said it wouldn’t be there if I took my piercings out ( different location of the body) would not give me pain meds, literally Tylenol and some tramadol which helped me none. Never once did this women let me know what was going on, not test results, ultrasounds, nothing not one update. Wouldn’t even drain the abscess to give me some type of relief. The ultimate kicker of the story is I had to pay another urgent care visit upon my release to get taken care of. I hope nobody ever has to deal with this pitiful excuse for a healer again!

I recently had my first experience with Women’s and Children’s hospital. I have to say it was by far superior service. My son was hospitalized for six days under the care of Dr. Mata and I was kept informed and in loop for everything going on with my child. I would also like to commend the nursing staff, they were there for every need and concern. I highly recommend this hospital if you are looking for the best care for your family. Thank you for such great care.
