The best sandwich ( patacon ) I have ever had period!!! Had couple more things to eat which I don’t know the names of plus tres leches , everything I had is authentic fresh and wicked tasty. Hope I have a chance to visit again.
Looking for gluten free options during a road trip isn't very easy. My family and I were traveling from Houston toNew Orleans and as dinner time approached while driving through Lafayette, we started looking for food options.When Patacon came up on my list I was ecstatic. We are Venezuelan/Colombian so finding our traditional food is always wonderful, especially after my celiac diagnosis. It was already 7pm so we had to take our food to go, but the restaurant is very clean inside and welcoming. The family who runs it are super nice and gave us lots of tips for our trips and made us want to go back. We ordered the reina pepiada and brisket arepas and we were in heaven. We have a lot of arepa places back in South Florida and my mom (who is super picky and hard to please) said the places we frequent should go to Patacon and learn from them!Gluten free review: happy to report, no issues with gluten for me having the reina pepiada! I asked about ingredients before ordering and it was a fit for me.¡Gracias por todo al equipo Patacon! Hicieron nuestra parada super amena y deliciosa.

This place and their food was beyond amazing! We had the beef patacoon and the other one that wasn’t fried and both were amazing! The woman’s bathroom was stocked with feminine products ( how awesome is that? ) The atmosphere and worker there was pleasant as well ! I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone! Can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic place, so glad to have this in Lafayette! Had the pork patacon, plantains were crispy, pork was moist and delicious.It did take a bit to get our food but it was well worth the wait!
