Piece of Cake Lafayette

I highly recommend Piece of Cake! They did a phenomenal job with the groom's cake for my wedding -- a red velvet armadillo a la Steel Magnolias (which, let's face it, was really MY cake -- childhood dream accomplished). The cake itself was moist and delicious, but the decorating was nothing short of amazing. They also provided fantastic service -- zero drama, transparent process, fair pricing, clear communication, and timely delivery service. I was so impressed with this bakery from beginning to end. My only regret is that I didn't hire them to do my actual wedding cake, but since that was such a disaster (by a big name legacy bakery in Lafayette) I might have them make an anniversary cake in a year...so impressed! Definitely a fan! Hire them.

We had a special request for my son‘s grooms cake and I just want to say Pieces of cake nailed every request that we had!! My son was shocked at the way his cake looked and even more shocked when my big roll tide Alabama loving son cut his cake and saw LSU go tigers, purple and gold marbling inside. It was priceless. The guest and everyone was amazed at the details in the cake and extremely pleased with the taste. Hands-down, I recommend this company.!!

In regards to the review left by Brooklyn Leblanc. I have a few comments. If you deliver on Sunday you answer your phone. If the flowers were not left on the table then call. If you don’t have any number other than the bride then shame on you . She paid 670.00 for a completed cake not an unfinished cake or a cake with a lump sticking up. See below.

Let me start by saying that the conversations i had with this company have been amazing up until my wedding day. I payed almost $700 to have my wedding cake delivered, decorated, and to feed 75 people. The day of my wedding i was not contacted when the cake would be dropped off or even given a time frame. They dropped the cake off at about 9 a.m. my wedding was at 6. Because they did not notify me the cake was not decorated. There was also a HUGE lump on the top of my cake. I called and texted the phone number that i had been in contact with about my cake about 10 times and texted and still to this day no response. The cake did not feed no where near 75 people, maybe 50. It was super disappointing because i paid $700 for a plain white cake that i could have got at sam’s for 50 bucks. Super disappointing.

I ordered a wedding cake from them and from day 1 I had excellent service! The cake was not only just like I wanted it to be and beautiful but it even tasted amazing. I had a 2 tier with chocolate and white and it was delicious! I definitely recommend this place. I don’t know how to share a picture.

I am not going to lie—I was very nervous to order a Puerto Rican themed custom cake in Louisiana because there aren’t any Puerto Rican bakeries that I am aware of. But I have to say, Piece of Cake did a FANTASTIC job on my order.

Not only was the requested themed upheld accurately, the cake is absolutely beautiful! AND—they were able to successfully make it a coquito cake (a traditional Puerto Rican flavor with rum and coconut). It was incredibly delicious and my boyfriend was overjoyed. Thank you so much for making his birthday special. :)

I had a cake made for a friend's birthday, and they were amazing to work with from the start. I don't live in Louisiana, but they were able to make the cake exactly how I asked with the pictures I provided. They made sure it was exactly what I asked for, and updated me the day it was delivered. Cake came in one piece and I was told tasted great. Thank you for making my friend's birthday special.

My wife ordered our daughter’s baptism cake from Pieces of Cake. She said they were very easy to communicate with and the cake came out exactly how described. Not only did it look good but we had a lot of compliments on how great it tasted as well!

They made my daughter the cutest cupcake for her birthday. Will definitely be returning.
