This breaks my heart to post but something needs to be addressed. Last year you can see how beautiful the cookies were and the variety was amazing! Well worth the amount I spent. Because of how beautiful they were last year, I ordered again this year. Minimal variety and such a drastic change in quality, I feel I can do a better job myself. Which defeats the purpose of my order since it is to save me time! :( really hate to post this, but for the amount I spent on cookies this has to be discussed. Did ownership change? Did their wonderful cookie lady quit from last year? I don't know, but I'm not going back until I know things improve.

First time visitor! We got there right before closing and the staff were very friendly and accommodating when we asked questions.
We bought cookies to satisfy an after meal sweet tooth. The mini pecan pies looked so good we got a couple of those also.
Everything was great!! I look forward to my next trip to the area to drop in again.

My 1st time stepping into this unique little spot and it won't be the last. Everything was delicious. The berry cheesecake is soooo good! Looking forward to trying their chicken salad and jalapeno cheese bread soon! Friendly service.

Used to be my go too... Should have listen to my friends. It was so dry and tasteless. We literally threw it in the compost pile.

These people are ROCK STARS of the bakery world. If you haven't been here, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!! If you have been here, you know. I love supporting this place every time I come to Lafayette. It is a true gem. Their attention to detail is amazing. Old world quality.

I’m driving through to Alabama and and came across this bakery as I was making some quick errands. I was amazed at their pastries. The almond cookies and almond croissant were perfect; the spinach quiche nice and flaky; the folds outstanding. They also have chicken salad, pimento cheese and some imported cheeses in the fridge. Hopefully i remember to stop on my way back and I can come prepared with a cooler to buy some more. I highly recommend this place. Especially to any travelers that want something better than the continental breakfast at your hotel. 🤣😂

UPDATE: Stopped again on my way back to Texas to buy a lot to take home. I wish they had some croissants but those sell fast. In addition to buying pastries I tried the chicken salad and a frozen tray of spaghetti and a couple of sandwiches (chicken salad and mufalata). The chicken salad croissant and the mufalata were delicious. The tub of chicken salad seemed a bit too salty and had a faint fishy taste kind of like crab/crawfish. I don’t like seafood and can taste that real quick. The spaghetti was real good.

I used to love petit fours from Pouparts. I ordered some recently for a party I was hosting- they were a fraction of the size they used to be and tasted stale. I was extremely disappointed as they used to be my favorite in Lafayette.

Tried to get a birthday cake for my daughter there. They responded one time with questions, and when I followed up we never heard from them again. Hopefully we can get a cake elsewhere. With their reputation and prices, I would expect better customer service.

I was visiting Lafayette for a conference, and I really want to get a king cake off season. They were super fast. They got it to me and before the 24-hour.. I was able to get it home to Dallas, and everybody loves it. It was a fresh one.

Best bakery for fresh bread in town (though it’s slim pickins in Lafayette). I miss when they had a location downtown. Lots of dessert options and they have frozen meals as well. You can preorder whole cakes and pies. I think they also do hot fresh meals/plate lunches daily.
