Prejean's Restaurant Carencro

There were problems but who doesn't have them. The person we spoke to said they had just let there help go because of the rain and it was slow. All of a sudden there came a crowd of people. The part that was very bad was they sat us at a table that had rice all over on the floor and chair also the table wasn't that clean. I noticed there were other clean tables in the area.

My husband and I just got back from vacation and were craving some Prejean’s gumbo! Got a bowl last night that was 24oz for $18. Ordered two more today because we just love it and got two 16oz at $18 each. Filled up barely over halfway at that. When we called to ask if that was a mistake, they said that they changed their sizes overnight. I don’t know about yall, but this is not worth the price. It sounds like they were running low on gumbo and didn’t want to miss the sale so they shorted us. A shameful business practice that I never would expect from Prejean’s. Unfortunately we will not be coming back.

We were recently on a Louisiana trip. So we stopped in at Prejean's. They have ample parking and the place is well kept. The service and food was outstanding. Prices are about average. I would definitely go back while I'm in area. This Cajun restaurant is the real deal.

If you have never had Cajun food this is the place to try it. Our table ordered an assortment of things to try and share with the table. Everything was delicious but the service is what made dinner top notch. Everyone was welcoming and friendly and no one acted like they were “just doing their job”. Everyone is so genuine and kind. I wish I could remember our waitress’ name because she was so engaging and good to my kids. We will definitely be back next time we come to town.

We came at around 1:00 and there weren’t very many people. We brought friends visiting from Indiana to give them a good meal. It took about 5 minutes to seat us (no one was in front of us). My friend ordered gumbo but the must have forgotten. It took two requests to get it. Overall, the food was cold and the meat tough RXCEPT for a burger which was extremely good. Our friends left most of their food and we had an early supper. Perhaps it was just an off day. Maybe, if we go again, next time will be better.

Food was amazing. Our waitress was phenomenal and there were many people for my Aunt's 100th birthday. She went over and above. I am sorry, I forgot her name.
I live in Texas, but my next trip to Lafayette I will be there to eat.

We visited Prejean's this past Saturday with my best friend and our 3 kids. I cannot being to explain how impressed we all were. The servers attention to deal was second to none. He understood the assignment when it comes to kids. He made sure the moms were happy and paid extra close attention to the wants and needs of our kids. The blackened chicken alfredo was so delicious, the hush puppies were amazing, the kids meals were made with care and the pork dinner my friend got was a real treat. Then came the desserts. Oh my gosh those desserts. I am still drooling over them. Thanks so much for a great experience for all of us. My niece is still talking about how nice our server was for giving her extra extra lemons. If I could leave a 10 star review, I would. Definitely visit this place.

Came home to visit. Wanted to expose my wife to Cajun food. It was all thoroughly enjoyed.

The atmosphere, service and delicious Catfish Grand Chenier with Corn Macque Choux keep our family returning every chance we find. The music is fun, but not loud enough to interfere with conversations. We plan our travels around Lafayette so that we can share a meal at Prejean's!

We are from Texas and came here on a business trip. The seafood gumbo was WONDERFUL! Ordered a side of dirty rice…..best I’ve ever had! Also had an appetizer of stuffed mushrooms. BEST EVER! The staff were all very attentive. And a bonus of live music while we ate! We will definitely return next time we are in town. @prejeans, can you leak the dirty rice recipe for me?! I’d love to make this at home in Texas!
