Ordered a little bit of everything and unfortunately, did not like most of what was ordered. The best thing we had was the kids alfredo and the roll. The meat in the gumbo was over cooked. The crawfish enchiladas were mostly tortilla, with a small amount of crawfish in a sauce. The dirty rice was dry. Maybe we ordered the wrong items but we were not a fan. The service was good and the atmosphere was great. They have a gator in the front.

The foods is delicious !!!! The staff is friendly. There is ample parking. The seafood dishes aren't too spicy. They have just enough flavor that you taste what you are eating ! Great food !

Came to Lafayette for our anniversary and took my husband here for the raw oysters and Cajun food. They did not disappoint. The live music was fantastic and everyone was so friendly. Can’t wait to come back.

We had an appt in Lafayette so we stopped by trip place to catch lunch on the way back and it was definitely a 10/10!! We were seated within 2-3 minutes. The hostess was very pleasant! The booth was comfortable! And then Brooke showed up to the table as our waitress….she was bubbly, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and very nice (Will ask for her every time 🤷🏽‍♀️)! The blueberry lemon drop and the hurricane only required 1 because wooooo they were delicious and they were had just enough to get us to a good place. If I stayed closer, I would have ordered 2 more! We had the firecracker shrimp for our appetizer and the sauce was ok. Shrimp was fried a tad too long but otherwise good. We tried the gumbo threesome and it was a GREAT choice! All 3 were good but the chicken and sausage gumbo was my fave! That JU’s BBQ Burger was to die for!!!! My husband had the Chef Fried Rice and he said it was ok but he couldn’t stopping eating my burger long enough to know! It’s a must next time we come through!

We had dinner at Préjean’s during our time in Lafayette, and it was exactly the kind of place you hope to find in Louisiana. You’re welcomed by a gigantic stuffed alligator at the entrance, which immediately sets the tone for what kind of evening this will be.

The atmosphere feels authentic and unpretentious, with that unmistakable Cajun character. This was where we tried fried alligator for the first time, and we absolutely loved it. Perfectly cooked, tender and full of flavor, a great introduction to a true Louisiana classic. The rest of the dishes were just as satisfying, with bold spices and generous portions that reflect the region’s culinary roots.

The live music added even more to the experience, creating that relaxed and genuine Louisiana vibe that makes you want to stay longer than planned.

It’s the kind of restaurant where locals dine as well, which says a lot. A must-visit if you want to experience real Cajun cuisine while exploring Lafayette.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. There was live music and people dancing. This is what I look for in authentic cajun dining. A big thank you to my server, Libby who recommended the Deep-fried Bread Pudding and was very attentive.

We had such an awesome experience on Saturday with our server Libby. Someone please let Mr. Tim know we will be back bc of her!! She did such an awesome job especially with our family visiting from Texas. We were celebrating 5 birthdays and we really enjoyed how accodomating she was, even helping us get a group picture. ❤️❤️

Frozen Shrimp that tasted freezer burnt on the Poyboy. Definitely wasn't Gulf Coast Shrimp. server verified Shrimp comes frozen.

Beware if you are Gluten-Free. Ordered from GF menu and they served it with a bread roll in the middle of the food. Main dishes were great. Sides not so much. Had better green beans from a can...mush and way over cooked.
