Ruby Slipper

I’m writing to share a concerning experience I had during my recent visit to Ruby Slipper. I’ve always enjoyed your restaurant, but this visit raised several serious food safety and sanitation concerns. While seated, I noticed that the cooks in the kitchen were not wearing hair nets or gloves. One cook was visibly scratching their head while preparing food, which was extremely unsettling and did not appear to meet basic hygiene standards. Overall, the kitchen environment seemed unsanitary.In addition, the hot honey chicken sandwich I ordered was burnt. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she attributed the issue to “old oil,” which only added to my concern about the overall food handling and kitchen practices.
I would appreciate knowing that steps will be taken to ensure proper sanitation, food safety, and quality control moving forward.

It is more like what wasn't wrong with the meal sadly. We ordered the beignets as a starter. They put the plate with the food in front of us no plates to eat off of. They were crunchy and cold. Our food came the biscuit was very raw on the inside. And the French toast was just straight grease. Went home and threw that away. Literally the grease was dripping off when you bit into it. Won't be going back. However our server was fabulous and none of that was her fault.

Kayla was a very attentive server, gave great food options, very friendly, very knowledgeable. Would definitely come again and ask for her service was amazing.

I got some ala carte items as fench coffee, cheesy grits, biscuit with strawberry 🍓 preserve. Warm, Delicious, especially coffee grits.

Great food and friendly staff. Our server was Moonie, she was very friendly and efficient. Will definitely try to get there again while I’m in town.

Had the Migas, was awesome. My server Brenna was awesome. Tad stopped by to say hello. Cool place. Definitely recommend. Will return!

My first time here and I got the Cochon and St Charles Benedict’s and they were so good! My server, Brenna, was very attentive and polite. She checked on me multiple times and refilled my coffee as soon as it was empty. I got the two Benedict’s at her recommendation, and I was very satisfied!

Ruby Slipper is always a win. The food is consistently amazing, the atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and the service truly sets it apart. Every visit feels intentional, not rushed, and you can tell the staff genuinely cares about the experience they’re creating.

A big shoutout to the manager, Tad. He does an incredible job leading the team. He’s attentive, professional, and clearly invested in both his staff and the guests. That kind of leadership shows. Everything runs smoothly, and it makes the whole experience even better.

If you’re looking for great food, great vibes, and top-tier service, Ruby Slipper delivers every time. Highly recommend.

We ABSOLUTELY love Ruby Slipper!! Recommend the French toast bites, loaded tots & fried green tomatoes as apps! Trifecta & Sweet Heat French Toast are absolute must haves!! Ask for our girl Lana!! She's so informative & will let ya know about everything on the menu! Highly highly recommend!!
