Was so looking forward to try this restaurant. Wife ordered ribs/ shrimp and potato soup. I order a T Bone medium and Mac n cheese. Wife gets the soup in an ice cold bowl straight from the fridge. Waiter said they must have forgotten to heat it up. I got a steak that was 1/4 grizzle and fat in blood. So chewy. So disappointing. I guess we are 1 and done. First picture shows the pile of fat. Second is how it was cooked.

Food was underwhelming, small portions. No impressed. Maybe smaller plates would help, plates are the size of a turkey platter and very little food on it! Texas Roadhouse taste the same and you get alot more.

Looking for a reasonably good steak and atmosphere after a long work trip. Look at reviews of Lafayette's steak restaurant offerings. Noticed that Salt Grass in Lafayette was rated number two behind Ruth Chris, but closely.Have had rather good success at Salt Grass in other parts of country, so we decided to give it a try.Best idea in quite some time. Service was better than any Ruth Chris I have been to. Caesar salad was perfect as was the fantastic 16oz ribeye. Cooked perfectly, hardly any wasteful fat. The asparagus was also cooked perfectly, no soft spongey asparagus stalks in entire order. Bread replacement was a bit slower than other Salt Grasses I have been to, but this place was busier than any I have been to beforeWith hundreds of eating places along Ambassador Camfrey, I was surprised to see the crowd here at between $8:25 and 9:25,pm.So if you are hungry for a great steak, or seafood as my traveling partner had salmon covered in blue crab and delightful fried/crunchy green beans....Saltgrass Steak in Lafayette, Louisiana is the place to visit.Stay safe.Parking: Facility is located in a higher class shopping center, not attached, and has hundreds of parking spaces around the facility.

Went to get curbside and they assured me after an hour wait my food would not be cold. That was a joke. Called the manager and he then asked for me to bring it back. Explained they are not right next door to me and offered no other solutions at all. Thank you Saltgrass for screwing my anniversary up. Never again will I visit or order from this place. Save yourself some time and energy just go across the street to long horn. I could go on but I see no point as this will fall of deaf ears.

Chicken fried steak with white gravy was nothing special. Cold mashed potatoes for side was replaced. Co-worker's steak was overcooked when she asked for medium rare. It was replaced. Food took too long to come out. Another co-worker's fish was overcooked and dry.

The waitress was great however i had ordered my steak medium. it definitely was rare. My fiancé had ordered rare and mine was definitely more rare than his. I also had a hair in my macaroni. It was my first time there and i was by far not impressed.

Ok we came back after 5 years to see if there was a change from our last visit, which unfortunately wasn't the greatest. We had a reservation for Valentines, and arrived early, and were seated within 10 minutes which was great off to a good start. We had a good waitress, very friendly and we ordered drinks and an appetizer, the warm bread while waiting for the crab cakes appetizer was delicious, and held us up until the appetizer came, great job letting us know the it took a little longer to make, the crab cakes did not disappoint in flavor it was definitely crab and not filler's, while waiting for our mains, we noticed the vibe which was nice, not to loud, good ambiance, patrons enjoying there valentines. The double bone pork chop was definitely delicious, moist and very tender, seasoned perfectly, and the shoestring sweet potato fries were a perfect match. The salmon was very well seasoned and blended nicely with the topping, and the Mac and cheese was good, loved the smoked flavor. We ended with a slice of the chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream, a perfect combination. We thoroughly enjoyed our night and the food and service.

Excellent experience My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and Valentines Day at Saltgrass Steakhouse The steaks were exceptional and our server Eddisson was very knowledgeable about the menu and made suggestions that we chose I highly recommend this steak house for the quality of the food and great service

I visited Saltgrass in Mesquite Tx and was a little disappointed due to the the steak only. Service and side dishes were spot on. Ordered a NY Strip but got a sirloin which isn’t my choice of steak. Wished I could give a better review but I’m a NY Strip lover…

The food was delicious well cooked and pleasing to the eye and server was so kind restaurant catered to senior handicapped diner by bringing the simplest items to help person enjoy their meal example styoform cup for diner to be able to grasp well enjoyed the atmosphere and adventure thank you one and all and the chef for the well done tender steakParking: Good area had handicapped parkingWheelchair accessibility: The area immediately in front of entrance had handicapped accessibility
