This place is my favorite place to go when I am craving hibachi. The Service was so quick and the miso soup is SOOO GOOD. I love this place so very much 5 stars. Not to mention the fried rice, it’s so heavenly. Absolutely my favorite hibachi place to eat at. Definitely would come again.

I brought my boyfriend here and it was his first time. He is EXTREMELY introverted but was so vocally impressed with how amazing the food is. He even spoke to the waiter after we finished to let him know how incredible dinner was (he never does this). Y’all have to show my place some more love !!!!

Let me start off by saying we love Shinto’s been going there for years. But last night was a nightmare. We were seated for hibachi and was told there were no hibachi menus available and that they would be given to us as soon as available. 30 minutes later our drink orders were taken, 30 minutes after that we were asked if we were ready to order but still had no menus. We finally order and waited another hour before any type of service. None of the table got our soup, none of the table got a salad, and after 2 hours we finally got refills on our drinks. Come time to leave, the bill issue was a nightmare until our party just decided to say screw it and pay for whatever was on it and Venmo each other the difference rather than fight with the server on it. We didn’t even want to tell her we didn’t receive our soups and salads for fear that it would take her another 20 minutes to figure out how to mess with the bill. After last night I don’t know if we’ll be back.

We went to the hibachi table for lunch today. It is the best deal in town. The food is amazing and the prices are cheap. Tell me where you can get a great steak for $19.99 with all the sides and soup and salad. Will definitely be back.

The last time I ate at Shintos the food was disgusting the Fried Rice was Mushy The Chicken was Rubbery the Vegetables Smelled very Werid I will never give this restaurant another chance I refuse to eat there

We have been going to Shintos for 15+ years. Yesterday was the worse service and sushi in all of those years. When we moved we continued to drive 2 hours just to eat there because of the amazing food and service. Not anymore. My miso soup had 2 slivers of nori and a few slivers of tofu. The Hawaiian fruit didn't have the shrimp throughout and just didn't taste right. The Southern Belle was full of crunchies that you felt like you were eating sawdust. Couldn't get the taste out of our mouths for the ride home. Very disappointed.

I celebrated my birthday here this past Saturday and I wasn't impressed. I had a reservation and we didn't get a cook until maybe an hour later. The food was salty compared to other hibachi places I've tried, and the Tokyo Tea tasted like medicine. This establishment is in dire need of a renovation and upgrade to decor. I had the a/c unit dripping on me the whole time. I'd say eat here if you're just on a whim hungry not for a special reason.

Usually enjoy eating here. Kind of feeling an emotion because I asked if the rolls were cooked and it contained fish eggs (smelt roe). I wish things like this were addressed to avoid customers leaving unsatisfied. I literally had to remove the roll an was unable to eat this because I don’t like the taste of the fish eggs.

We went there on 01/06/2025 for a birthday celebration. We enjoyed the food, and the service was good. My sushi rolls and my Hibachi meal were delicious!! The food portions are enough to eat on for a couple of days.

First time here and got the Acadian Roll though not deep fried. It was the best sushi I have had in town! I have been on a little sushi food tour and so far this is my favorite roll. Though the atmosphere isn’t quite as good as some of the other places, but will for sure be back!

10/10 Hibachi experience everything was seasoned to perfection;the customer service was immaculate,I never had to open my mouth to ask for anything they were always on it.
Definitely will be coming back my next visit to Lafayette!
