I ordered the fried catfish. It was served fresh and the portion was very plentiful. Most importantly, the fish was seasoned well and had a lemon flavor. Very nice! The veggie of the day was seasoned steamed broccoli, which, again was very tasty and fresh! I ordered a side salad, should have skipped that. The lettuce was wilted and brown. Over all, nice meal for $22 tax included.
So I tried the fried crab stuffed trout with ettoufe and potatoes au gratin. The trout had a good flavor but it was dry. The ettoufe.... As a Cajun, I should have known better..... It was just OK (barely). The cheese on the potatoes was pretty strong. The broccoli was good but a little under cooked IMO (I like it soft, this was still crunchy). My wife had fried shrimp that were pretty good. At this point I would not say, "you gotta try this place", but I'd go...
Armani is such a sweet girl. There was alot going on inside the restaurant and she still managed to keep our table in line. As well as others. She communicated very well. And got our food to us in good timing right before we caught our flight. Food 8/10! My husband and I will be back for another stay!
