We ordered the fried dumplings which were amazing! Then we placed an order of the spicy fried chicken and a side of spicy shrimp lomein. Everything was absolutely delicious and had the perfect amount of spice. The server was extremely kind and helpful. I hope this family owned gem continues to thrive. 10/10 would recommend and will be back in the future!

Best Chinese food in the area, and it's not particularly close. (Not saying much, the rest are terrible) but this stands on its own. Thy use all the notes, sweet, sour, spicy, savory. This doesn't stand up to big city Chinese options, but it's good for south Louisiana.

Did not dine in. Picked up to eat at home. Why i haven't tried this place sooner, i will never know. This is the real deal. Fantastic food.

Neither my boyfriend nor I were very big fans. We got the chicken lo mein, wontons with special sauce, and kung pao chicken. I have had traditional Chinese food before out of state, and it’s still a craving. When I kept seeing this place on Foodies of Lafayette, I was super excited for “traditional Chinese”. The actual food just wasn’t very good. I didn’t find that it had much flavor, just very oily and spicy(not seasoned, burn spicy). There was hair in my dish, which was also pretty unappetizing. Service was okay. I definitely would not return.

The only authentic Chinese food in town. We go there on occasion. I know it's actually authentic, because my wife is Chinese.

Wow! Had the beef and broccoli. This is not your typical lazy Americanized Chinese food. This is very good Sichuan cooking. Phenomenal can't wait to try this again and can't believe I haven't tried it sooner.

This place is clearly family owned, which is so sweet. Last time we visited, the owner was helping his granddaughter with homework in the dining room. I love the homey feel. The One food is INCREDIBLE! Truly do not hesitate to visit Spicy House. I wish it was closer to downtown. The Dan Dan noodles and wontons are so damn good. I wish the spicy fried fish had less breading but that’s my one (small) complaint.

Friendly staff, good food, every bit as spicy as the name says. Not for a weak palate. Clean restaurant, and quiet. We were the only ones there when we went on Sunday. Drinks are served by the can. You'll need more than one.

This is a hidden gem. Being from San Francisco I'm spoiled by good food. Had low expectations when I found it on Yelp on our trip from New Orleans to Houston. This place delivers. Service is great, food is great. Would definitely come again if I'm in that area. Was well worth taking 15 minutes off the route.

We're working our way through the menu and everything has been so good! A few of our favorites so far are the cold sesame noodles, scallion pancake, cucumber salad, scrambled eggs with tomatoes (don't sleep on this, it's delicious!), and the cumin beef. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and we've eaten there and taken food to go, we're striving for regular status!
