Spoonbill Watering Hole & Restaurant

The service was absolutely awful. Our waitress did not bring any water refills — we had to request water from another waiter after about 30 minutes. It took almost an hour to get our food - avo toast and a burger - and it was only served after we asked about it … and it seemed like it has been sitting out a while. Overall a very disappointing experience.

As my family of five and I sat down ready to order, my two children who could have ordered from the kids' menu chose to order from the regular menu. Since I had bariatric surgery, I asked if I could order the kids' burger. The server initially said she didn’t see a problem but needed to check with management.

A few minutes later, she returned and explained that the kids' burger was the same size as the adult burger. However, if I wanted it plain, I would still have to order the adult burger, which cost $14 compared to the kids' burger at $6. She then asked how I wanted it cooked, and I requested it well done.

When the food arrived, it tasted good, but the burger I was required to order wasn’t even cooked as I had requested.

I used to be a loyal customer at Spoonbill, always coming back for my favorite salad—the Street Corn Salad with a side of steak. It was my go-to order, whether I dined in or ordered to-go. I raved about it so much that one day, I decided to bring my brother so he could finally try it.

To my surprise, I was suddenly told that I couldn’t add steak to my salad anymore—not even if I paid for it. No explanation, no flexibility, just a flat-out “no.” Even worse, the staff treated me like I was a problem for even asking. No suggestions for an alternative, no effort to accommodate, just a dismissive attitude that made it clear they didn’t care about keeping a loyal customer happy.

Solid. Their food is really good. They have excellent drinks. They have outside seating as well as inside seating.
Downtown area.

my son and I had the burger, daughter got shrimp tacos and wife got the chicken sandwich, everything was great. we started with the birria nachos which were also good! nice little lunch spot

Ok, good and not so good. Fried duck app, fried chicken sandwhich, and burger, good. Fish and chips, not so good. Couldn't taste the fish at all due to the extra greasy outer layer.

Great service. Food was good. Drinks were excellent!

Eccentric little restaurant. Service VERY slow. They were out of all fish. No problem there’s other things to choose from. Wouldn’t be first choice to eat when downtown

This place is a tiny. We didn't end up staying for a meal.

Such a nice place to enjoy great food and delicious food. Highly recommended!
