Lafayette, La location is the worst when it come to parties over 6 people. They definitely cannot manage their wait list at all. Arrive at 6:25 when there was zero wait and requested to sit at 7pm at 2 tables next to each other. Told at 7:05 they could seat us but it would be across restaurant from each other...really why? Oh becausthe tables were split and registered under separate numbers. Had to wait until 7:45 to finally sit. Unbelievable incompetent!

The experience we had at Texas Roadhouse today was probably the best I have ever had. The food was amazing, but the main part I am writing about was our server. We were served by Amber Edwards and she was the kindest most pure soul. She did not forget a thing we asked, she was very quick, and she did everything with kindness. She was a rockstar!!!!

Was always really good, but the last year steaks are not as tender, ribs were dried out. Even the bread not as good. Just has changed in the last year.
Seems like the food is shrinking. It's good but getting smaller.

Asked the hostess to be seated at a booth instead of a table and she proceeded to say she couldn’t even though there was one visibly next to the table she was trying to seat us at. Then offered to seat us in a booth in a different section, came back and told us the booth was promised to someone already. How would the booth be promised to someone if y’all do not do reservations? Waiter then came to the table and we ordered a salad WITHOUT eggs & croutons, but came back with eggs & croutons on the salad. During the middle of the meal the same booth the hostess said she couldn’t seat us at she sat someone else there. Soon after ordering steak medium-rare, it came back rare as did the lady next to my table which she also didn’t order rare as she was waiting for her waitress so she could get it remade.

The food and service was good. But we had to wait a very long time to be seated because of one party member missing. And we were a large group but had to be split into two booths!
Ordered our food almost immediately. An hour later our waiter came to tell us he had some bad news…he never put our order in but that it wouldn’t take long. 20 minutes later we still didn’t have our food. Paid for our drinks and left. Was not offered anything to rectify the mistake that was made on their end.

So, I decided to try the fried catfish at a steakhouse... I'm glad I did. It was good. It's not stellar, but not bad. The Tatar sauce was unusual but also good. The loaded sweet potato was nothing special but still ok. The service was great. Seated quickly at 11:30 on a Saturday with a party of 6. The manager stopped by and checked on us to make sure we were happy. Will return for a ribeye steak soon.
