Dear soul haus …. been eating here since the day it open and the food is amazing … when they have it … constantly running out of food on a consistent basis and this is not right before closing, which is at 2 o’clock in the afternoon …. This restaurant also does not have any black pepper for the customers … they also recently got rid of Diet Coke and replace it with a Coke zero it’s not the same…. So it is quite disappointing to go to your favorite restaurant to get your favorite food and they only have it half of the time it’s really hitting me and this is only in the last couple of months

I used to love the Jambalaya Shoppe in BR so when I found out there was one here in Lafayette I didn’t hesitate to try it out. I ordered the Shoppe Combo which comes with either jambalaya or pastalaya. I went with jambalaya. It also comes with a choice of side (I got red beans), a small salad, gumbo file’ and a roll. All for about $10. It’s a good amount of food. I really like their jambalaya. Great flavor, fresh ingredients. The gumbo has a nice kick to it. The red beans were really good too. My only complaint was they had no banana pudding. Seems they got a bad batch of bananas. So no pudding. But that’s OK probably didn’t need to be eating that anyway. The other thing I was disappointed in was that in BR the Combo comes with two small crawfish pies (like mini empanadas.) They didn’t have these at this location. Again, nothing major. I got takeout but seems they are allowing some dine in with a few tables marked off not for use to allow social distancing.

Love the jambalaya even though my wife does not eat it so I usually have it by myself.Price a little high but not to much.

I was looking for some traditional flavorful jambalaya! What I got was great and friendly staff, a healthy amount of food but the flavor and seasonings were missing. The restaurant was also very clean!
