Wonderful experience! My husband and I loved the natural lighting. The food was perfect. We can't wait to go back!
The crab and Brie soup has been a life saver lately! So delicious!
Lance was an amazing bartender. He really showed some to notch hospitality to this northerner and helped me geek out on the local beer. The oysters were absolutely delicious!! Next time I'm in town, I will surely stop in for more!!!
Nice and clean place. Good food and relaxing environment.
You absolutely can't beat Chimes in Lafayette for a great lunch date. The staff is awesome, and the atmosphere is top notch. Love this place!
I had the 1/2 pound steak burger with fries and 2 beers, the server was very friendly and nice. I'm visiting from Alabama, here on a business trip
Absolutely amazing experience! We loved the catfish and the hushpuppies. Natural lighting is a huge plus; it is a very appealing atmosphere. My husband and I will make this a regular visit. Little gem of Lafayette❣️
Probably not the first choice that comes to mind when kid-friendly, but they actually have a kids menu and provide a couple of crayons and coloring sheet. The kids menu did have a great hearty selection. We had the fried alligator for an appetizer. It was prepared very well, and highly recommend it. Bonus points for the dipping sauce, it paired well. I got the Catfish Perdu and a side salad. The meal also came with bread. Make sure to get the pepper jelly vinaigrette with your side salad. It’s amazing! The salad veggies were fresh, as well as, the croutons. The Catfish Perdu—fluffy rice, flaky catfish, with crawfish etouffee on top. I could have only had the rice and fish and would have been satisfied. The etouffee was good, but I was left mildly let down. I’m not sure what I felt was missing, but it was well prepared and presentation was note worthy. The sweet tea definitely hit the mark. Refreshing, sweet without being overpowering, and tasted freshly made. The service! I regret that I didn’t make a note in my phone on who are waitress was, but she outdid herself. Attentive without being intrusive, and super friendly. She made our dining experience ! Atmosphere—it’s cozy while not feeling on top of other patrons. I appreciated that there wasn’t loud music while we were trying to eat and converse. The only complaint I had was the lighting was a little on the darker side of my preference, but I guess that would take away from the romantic ambiance. Also note, it was very clean!
The bartender, Quincy, is the definition of Southern Hospitality and Customer Service. Kaitlyn, Gracie, and the other lady staff (can’t remember her name) were amazing.
I love, absolutely love the crab brie soup! I dined in for one dinner and two lunches. The food was excellent, the oysters, the shrimp and grits, the catfish perdu, the spring salad with grilled shrimp, and the bread pudding, all amazing! On two occasions (lunch) we had the same server named Chris, who works every Sunday apparently, and he was knowledgeable, making great recommendations when asked, courteous and kind, patiently accommodating all of our needs and requests, while providing excellent service in a timely manner, couldn't ask for more!

♦️This is the review that I left on my page.♦️ So my wonderful & amazing wife and I wanted to go out to eat and we wanted to go somewhere new and different. So we ended up deciding to go to The Chimes Lafayette. It was our first time eating there and let me tell you, it’s a great restaurant with a great building and outdoor gazebo. The staff were super friendly. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was great. Amazing adult beverage selection too! It’s a spot that you can take your loved one to and/or take your entire family to. Everyone is guaranteed to have a great time! We will definitely be going back!!
