My friend and I decided to go shopping in Lafayette from Alexandria. After shopping she suggested we go to the chimes. Let's just say she was right on the money for picking this restaurant. This is by far one of the best restaurants that l've eaten at in 10 years. Its on my favorite list now and I will definitely come back to eat. The food was amazing. I had our server to pick his favorite and decided to go with that. I end up eating the fried chicken and linguine and my friend ordered the same. Our entrees came with salads which were good also. We did start off with crawfish cheese fries and they were delicious. I ordered a drink from the bar, my signature drink the espresso martini. The ambiance was elegant in my opinion but very relaxed and chilled. I would definitely recommend everyone to stop by here. The menu has something to offer everyone. Our server stayed on top of his stuff. We didn't want for nothing.

Getting a table as a single person for dinner was easy. Service from Landon was amazing, he was very informative and kind. I had shrimp and grits, the grits are not traditional, they're in a fried ball form but taste great, the presentation is a little different from average. Shrimp cooked wonderfully. Also had 1/2 dozen raw oysters. They didnt originally bring out horse radish so I requested it. It was the most intense I've ever eaten. Very bold and spicy, take it easy, even if youre used to scooping it on (you've been warned) . Ceasar salad was perfect serving. And I finished off with lava cake. Very creamy and gooey. Overall a lovely dinner. I will be back

Too bad I live out of town, or I would have tried everything on the menu by now, several times over! I believe in Miracles, maybe get a Chimes closer to Houma area?! I grew up on The Chimes in BR. Cheese fries with gravy, fried rabbit, etc. This food needs some serious work. And some soul. Don't sell out!

We started with salads. My caesar salad came out with hardly any dressing. Our waitress brought out some extra and I’m so glad I asked for more, because the dressing was so good!
I had the blackened chicken Alfredo. The chicken was really flavorful and cooked perfectly. The pasta and sauce could have used some spice or extra flavor but it was still good.
The mac and cheese was great and very flavorful!
My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and he was in heaven. He loved them!
The bread the dishes come with look like average bread but the bread was actually amazing! I’m so glad we made the stop here!

We frequently visit Chimes in Lafayette for Margaritas and appetizers. I love the fries and love the onion rings. But the Margaritas are the star of the show for me. The customer service has always been on point when we visit.

We had lunch today and our waitress was Mary M . She greeted us , was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu , she instantly sold us on. The lunch specials. The catfish and fried chicken, which was. Incredible, She also sold us on the blueberry cheesecake, Mary is a huge asset to chimes definitely 5 stars all around. Will definitely be back soon.
