Welsh Roanoke Jr High made THE best out of a rainy day there! Thanks to your amazing team we made ponchos with trash bags and made the best memories! Also my husband Scott got to share a tune for the kids!
Interesting historic village where they have brought together buildings from elsewhere. In some of those buildings, during my visit, women in traditional costumes gave demonstrations of ancient professions such as spinning cotton
There are information panels everywhere that give you a good idea of the history of the area and the people who live there
I now also know that Louisiana was named after the Sun King Louis XIV

They had a CFMA (Cajun French Music Association) group playing music and we sure enjoyed the 2 hours they played! It was great to see so many different artists playing such beautiful music together. We enjoyed it! We'll be back next time. I think it is every 2 weeks. The village is always one of my favorite places to visit. The Acadiana Zoo is another one I always visit.
