Celebrated a small bridal shower for brunch last week. We drove 2 hours and were very excited to try the restaurant. Pretty poor experience overall. Took over 40 minutes to get our first round of drinks out. I got the ultimate Bloody Mary and it lacked several garnish ingredients included on the description list. I then ordered the bottomless sangria as my second drink. Our waitress just kept disappearing for over 30 minutes at a time. We were there for about 5-6 hours and I got maybe 3 refills on my “bottomless” sangria. My last refill she gave me a glass of champagne and said “here’s your sangria”. We pointed out that it wasn’t a sangria and she just shrugged and walked away. I ordered the tuna appetizer…do not order this. Everybody at my table was finished with their entrees and I still didn’t receive mine. The waitress clearly forgot to put my order in as my meal said “on the fly” on my receipt. Then the waitress had to come by and ask each person everything they ordered because she forgot. I never complain about waitresses but this was bad…it really upsets me that our brides special celebration wasn’t what she deserved. Also I have to add that I used the restroom and there was no toilet paper, I had to wipe with the cardboard roll :(

Food was incredible. Upstairs seating is the way to go if there’s live music. Our server, Bryce, was phenomenal. His friendly and personable demeanor, along with his top notch recommendations, made our experience one we won’t forget.

Looking for a 'Sports Bar' this popped up. Third on our list, but the first two were busts, so we slide on by. Definitely NOT what I'd call a sports bar. We have time, order Sazeracs, try the Happy Hour Gumbo, later have their generous $5 House Old Fashioneds.
Everything was good, but the Gumbo was heavenly. Worth the trip just for that. Dark brown flavor filled broth, nicely shredded duck & slices of andouille. Perfection. Had to move on for Seahawks, though.

We love this place so much! The food, the drinks, the atmosphere; it’s all wonderful! If you want to take a trip to NOLA but don’t have the time then go to whiskey & vine. It’s like stepping into a restaurant in the French quarter. Really something to experience!! The staff is amazing as well. We had the best bartender, she was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. I think her name was Alicia and I will sit at her bar every time I go now. I can’t wait to recommend this place to everyone I know.

Maci was our waitress, and all I can say is that was the BEST service I’ve ever received! She was attentive, informative, and pleasant and accommodating to whatever we requested. Whiskey and Vine has always been pleasant and a favorite. But Macy’s service deserves a few GOLD stars!!!
