We ordered our food and then realized a bit later that it had special sauce on it so we asked if they could put mayonnaise on there instead. Apparently the chef went crazy and yelled at our waitress. He told her he would not give her mayonnaise unless she went upstairs and got it. He said it was Her fault because she messed up our order but she did not. We just didn't tell her In time. Then he messed up our order by not giving us our onion rings which were $5 and meager. They made us pay $4 a piece for bottled water cuz that was the only option for water. They tried to make us give them a credit card in order to order. Since we were on our way to the swimming pool we had only brought enough cash to eat there and the room key. She said in order to order we had to charge it to our room. So far plenty of inconvenience. And we had to wait 7 minutes for those onion rings when the chef forgot them... she checked and she had put them on the order because she showed us They were okay but not good. Hamburgers would have been good if they had any kind of seasoning on them but they had no salt and I had to salt as I went along. It was over 50.00 for two hamburgers two waters and one onion ring. The chef came out to Menace us I believe. He stood there with his arms crossed with his little braided beard. Our waitress was nearly crying the entire time. That really put a damper on our visit... we were waiting a long time to go back here. The atmosphere is awesome, the view is awesome it should have been much better. Way too much strife.

Vegetarian options: They have the fake Burger there

Parking: You have to park in the parking garage of the Golden Nugget Resort and it could be as far as a half a mile to walk. I'm not exaggerating

Kid-friendliness: Good for kids. There is a beach and outdoor tables

This was my best and most favorite trip ever to the golden nugget! I was served by Brayzlin and had the best time with her coworkers Ashley and Maci. I was served great drinks and many limes and enjoyed my time out on the open sand. Those girls work their heart out and truly are the working force of the Golden Nugget. They even had to get more Tito’s because me and my fiance were drinking it away! I noticed that another table was treating brayzlin poorly and decided to chip in extra and give her the best I could. God bless those girls!

When you order water they charge you $4 for a bottle. The service is bad and the food is even worse. This was our first time eating here and definitely will not be visiting again next time we stay at the Golden Nugget.

If you want to sweat outside with bad service and even worse food, eat at Bill's.

Bailey Mudd was an exceptional server. She excelled in the fundamentals and that’s what truly made her special. She was punctual, she was polite, she was accommodating, and above all else she understood what hospitality meant. I got the South of the Burger & the guac was phenomenal, so compliments to the chef and the kitchen. My experience at Bill’s Burger at Golden Nugget Lake Charles was truly a pleasant experience and I recommend any fellow travelers from Houston, Texas to take the time out to make a visit. Thank you again to the young & beautiful Ms. Bailey Mudd for a great time.

Great food. Even better service and great views of the water! The staff was all very friendly and constantly checked on us and made sure everything we ordered was perfect. Will definitely be coming back.

Burger and fries were A1. Then sitting next to the water creates a certain type of ambiance.

the burger is good but so tall, it makes it hard to eat. but don't let that stop you from enjoying this yummy meal!if you don't get the French fries, your life is not complete. they are like no other fries I've had before. I would go back for the fries!they have a salt grass seasoning that's soooo good. try it on your burger and fries!the chili is wonderful! it's served with chips, weird, but it works!bloody Mary is good. typical zing zang mix. comes with celery and a whole piece of bacon ??wait staff is great! attentive even though people were being rude to them.tip your bartenders and waitresses y'all!

Honestly, we didn't eat. We arrived at 11:55 am. The wait staff was still setting up. One advised that they open in 10 minutes. We said ok and we would have a seat and wait. There were 2 tables of people waiting ahead of us. A couple sat at the bar after us. We sat on the beach 2 tables from another table that was there before us.The wait staff brought each table a basket of chips and never attended to us. Moments later, they all stand to the side like they are done and then one asks, did anyone go to their table? All were like no, who's going to serve them? We said, "No, no one has come over to us." They ask, "Do you want menus?" At this point I am confused. They didn't ask anyone else about menus, why ask us? Why didn't we get offered chips and salsa. The waitress who finally came over, said, sometimes people come to chill. I said, it was known we weren't "chilling". We were told 10 minutes till opening and to have a seat. Why assume for us but not the other tables? Regardless if we were chilling, come ask if we are seated at a table!At this point, we left. Service is horrible and since everyone feels we pull the "race card" all of the time, I'll leave it at service just sucks!
