To eat we had the crawfish bread, steak with crabmeat, chicken Ella, and Fire of Pluto sandwich. Everyone was pleased with their meals! Our waiter was super nice and seemed to enjoy his job which always rubs off well for a new customer. If I were ever passing back through LC I'd come back!”

““Lacey” made our FIRST visit unforgettable. Her personality, great attitude, and infectious smile made us enjoy our very first visit to this family owned business. Today was an off day for the establishment because they had several call ins. Lacey was the ONLY waitress and she had to clear tables as well. (It was a full house if you can imagine what that was like for her). It took some time to order today which I won’t even elaborate on because my friends and I were able to extend Lacey “grace” today as we watched her literally bust her tail trying her very best to accommodate everyone WITH THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SMILE! We knew she was stressed but it wasn’t because she showed it.Thank you Lacey for being so kind as well as making our experience a great one in spite of all you had to encounter today. Thanks to management for coming by our table more than once to greet us, update us on the situation at hand, as well as to reassure us that you were happy we chose your establishment to dine in. That really was a nice thing to do. This paired with Lacey’s attitude of service made ALL the difference!The lamb chops were absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! Seasoned perfectly! So juice and tender! My 9 year old had chicken schwarma for the first time and he loved it. We also ordered the Lebanese wings which were not a hit for our palate. They were not awful…just “different.” I think they are an acquired taste. I probably wouldn’t order those again. I’ll stick to BWW for wings. ?….I’ve included a picture of them so you can be the judge.I would without a doubt recommend this place and we will definitely be back again!!”

“This place is fantastic all of the food tastes insanely well seasoned with great balance to the flavors. I eat a lot of middle eastern food in multiple countries and this place was easily the best in North American. It’s the little things like tabuleh having enough lemon and onion flavor balanced together and the rice being cooked well. Picture here are the feta salad and the chicken shawarma plate! Try the cabbage salad it’s so good.”

We ordered the Asia Deluxe Lo Mein, it was fantastic, not greasy at all, and full of flavor! Two of us shared it and still couldn’t eat all of it. The Imperial Egg Rolls were like crunchy spring rolls, they were crispy, fresh, hot, and the dipping sauce was very good even if it was VERY red! Friends ordered tuna roll and a shaggy dog roll, they said both were fresh and delicious. Everything was presented nicely. I would definitely come back and try more menu items here. It was a 10/10.”

“This is the cleanest and quietest Waffle House I've ever been to. I almost thought they were closed because we were the only car in the parking lot. We were greeted upon entry, the staff was in a great mood and very kind. I even got an extra waffle because they accidentally made two. I felt like I was in the twilight zone and was debating on whether the food was going to be any good, lol. If you know you know. I'm happy to report that the food was still as good if not, dare I say, better than usual. My waffle even had a li'l crisp to it. I now see the allure of small town living and will be making my transition to a country girl so that I may have this dining experience more often.”

It was so fresh and delicious. (This was our 1st time at their new location on Prien Lake, a more casual atmosphere here.) Only seemed to have 1 waitress while we were there & it was fairly busy, but food still came out pretty fast. (Their chicken shawarma meat is my fav & also love the baklava.) My only wish is if they had a Ruston location!Vegetarian options: Many veggie dishes- some can be easily altered to remove cheese and be vegan. Hummus, baba ganoush, cold grape leaves, falafel, salads, soups, etc.”

The hamburgers, shrimp burgers, and shrimp dinners are my favs and the homemade onion rings are omg yummy. All the locals eat here, usually has a line waiting to place orders, but don’t let that deter you, it moves fast. Today our 14 month old grandson got his 1st taste of Cotton’s, he definitely approves.”

“Terrific food! Our first time visiting CSC. We ordered a Dixie Chick sandwich meal for my husband the onion lover and a Fancy Nancy for me. Wow! The first bite took my right back to my grandmothers house when I was a little girl in California, sitting on the front porch eating her chicken sandwich and drinking iced tea. My husband never said a word, he just ate in onion bliss. The cookie was a delight, a sweet end to a lovely meal. “I discovered this Cravin' Crawfish when my go to crawfish spots were already sold out/closed. I like that they close at 9 for people like me who tend to eat dinner a little later. It was a little out of the way for me, but crawfish is life. This is a drive-thru and pick up crawfish place. You order at one window and drive around to the other window to pick up. Besides crawfish, they also have boiled shrimp, sausage, and crabs. I waited approximately 15-20 minutes behind one car to order. The lady who was working was friendly and sweet and apologized for the wait. I ordered 3 lbs crawfish, and because of the wait, she added free potatoes and a sauce! They also give out a punch card to customers: 3 lbs or free crawfish after 10 punches. Great customer service! As far as the crawfish, they were decent sizes, but I felt they were a little over cooked and a little spicier than what I'm used to and like.”

We honestly just had Taste of Texas in Houston two weeks ago for about double the cost of what we had here, and not nearly the quality that we had tonight. Saltgrass honestly blew it away. Ashley, the assistant manager was incredible, and our service from Hannah was as good as we’ll get anywhere. She was super courteous and made regular rounds to check on us. Overall a five star experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in need of a good steak.”

I got a boudin kolache with a chocolate glazed donut & my fiancé got two sausage kolaches & a strawberry milk. It was all only $12!!! My donut was so soft & not too sweet at all! “My memories of good times at Tony's Pizza go back to the early 70s and through the years when the dining room was expanded, the new shiny tables were added, and various menu additions like the medium sized Chicago-style pizza crust, the iconic po-boy bbq sauce being out-sourced along with appetizer and dessert items being added and the imported candies on the front counter. The Italian Sausage Po-Boy is memorable for its amazing flavor and ability of the lovely aroma of spices that you could savor at home the next morning when you awoke. The ground beef pizza with the jalapeno topping that were also ground was revolutionary and incredibly smart and it's remarkable that I haven't seen ground jalapenos replicated by a pizza restaurant in the fifty years since. I now live near Austin, TX and we have a number of pizza restaurants representing a variety of pizza types from Brooklyn, Neapolitan, Detroit, Connecticut, California, that are baked in a traditional pizza oven, wood-fired, coal-fired, etc. and many that are nationally ranked and reviewed and I love most all of them, but there's something iconic and exemplary about Tony's Pizza in Lake Charles with the toppings, sauce, and their pizza crust that I love today as I have the last fifty years. It's Lake Charles style!”

We sat inside for our first visit. The second visit we enjoyed the beautiful day and sat outside. *The chips were delicious, but nothing beats their WARM salsa!! *The Cool Cucumber Rita is now my new favorite drink EVER! It has the perfect refreshing taste without an overpowering sweet taste and just the right subtle flavor of cucumber and mint. PLEASE don’t ever change the recipe to this drink!! * The food was delicious and FRESH — it did not taste as though it was just passed through a heated oven on the plate. My favorite so far is the Camaron Taco (shrimp taco). It has the most delicious sauce on it. My shredded chicken fajita burrito was also very delicious with lots of meat and delicious fresh veggies. Although I didn’t try the beans and rice myself, those that were with me complimented how delicious they were and didn’t taste like the typical Mexican restaurants.
