“We didn't have a problem getting a table after ordering our food even though the parking lot looked packed so don't let that deter you from coming in. Our group tried the fried alligator, wings, cajun chicken strips, fried fish, and shrimp etouffee potato, all were very good and would try again. I'm salt sensitive and the gumbo was a little too salty for me, but that is me. I've also never had a lousiana roll and i loved it. I also got the wings which were yummy and crispy and you get about 8 wings. Would def come here again if I'm visiting. The portions are def filling and will stuff you if you eat it all in one sitting. I will say they are very friendly and great service. Our waiter was attentive and gave us to go sodas, she checked on us several times and food came out timely and the men giving us our food were very nice and even talked to us for a few minutes since we were out of towners. The only regret is not getting some of that dessert cause it looked so yummy all of it.“
“There are very nice food and nice people there. I had a chicken special with corn and squash. I also had grits and bread. They were delicious. There were very homey feelings in the restaurant and kitchen. The owner, I believe she was, was very attentive and helpful. It was a nice place to visit.“

“This place has been around since I was a baby. I always get a good bag of crawfish when we pick up from Heinen's. Love the locally owned. Good size, great seasoning, and always a decent price. Sad this crawfish season is over but I'll be first in line in 2024.“

“They were only serving their brunch menu but we got the boudin balls, crab cakes & shrimp cocktail. I have high standards for sea food and it was all great. The boudin was the best we had on our trip. They had live music playing who was also super great & added to a good atmosphere. Highly recommend!“

“My brother and I ate here last night and we’re so pleasantly surprised by Walk-Ons. From the quick wait time to the amazing food it was a 10/10 experience. But what made our night so memorable was our waitress Marigrace!!! She was kind, funny, and eager to serve our every need. Our drinks never got low, and came out fast, she answered all our questions and requests and even gave out great recommendations. We definitely recommend Walk-Ons and when you go ask for Marigrace as your server she is definitely five out of five stars.“

“This video poker casino definitely has its shining moments of excitement as far as the poker machines go but also due to the shade rougher crowd than other video poker places things can feel a little more excitable than most. And I use the word excitement for a reason cause although I'm sure things might seem a little sketchy due mostly in part by its location( broad street across from Melrose Motel and the car auction right off hwy 14) I have never once had any real problems. And infact l I've had quite the opposite of problems, I've had people help me above and beyond how I would be treated anywhere else. Especially better than a place like L'Auberge of Lake Charles where they treated me like a piece of human trash. The only thing I can say about kings palace is that they don't have the newer machines that all the rest just updated to but I if you don't play those. You got only one thing to worry about...winning money!“

Everything from delicious omelets, hamburger steak and gravy to meatloaf (with red or brown gravy) and mashed potatoes, chicken fried steak to bread pudding. The staff is always friendly and go the extra mile. It's like being home with family. You can dine inside or on the patio out front or call in your order and pick up at the window.“
