We had the best waitress but the food was awful.
Placed an order for 6 people. You’d think getting a hamburger steak you’d get gravy. Crazy dry and over cooked.
None of the orders were correct. Several missing items within the order. And they also charged a tip of 20% to my order. The order was placed online for in house pickup no tip is needed. I was not serviced as a sit down customer. When going to pick up the food. No one at the host stand. Bar tender was very helpful. Service at TADS of lake Charles has gone straight...read full review

Tad's Louisiana Cooking | Cajun • Creole offers a friendly and lively atmosphere with good service and tasty food. Guests often praise the generous portions and authentic Louisiana flavors, especially highlighting the crawfish, which is considered some of the best they have ever had. The crawfish are seasoned perfectly, and the catfish bite appetizer is generous and delicious. The gumbo is frequently mentioned as a highlight, with some considering it the best they’ve had in a restaurant setting. Other popular dishes include the fried alligator platter and the Cajun and Creole inspired menu items, with sauces and dressings being thinner than expected but still enjoyable. The restaurant has a bar area where noise and TV screens create a lively environment. Despite occasional slow service, staff members are described as friendly, patient, and accommodating, with servers going above and beyond to help. The atmosphere is comparable to casual chain restaurants like Applebee’s or Chili’s, but with a focus on authentic Cajun food. While prices are a bit high, portions are large enough for leftovers, making it a good value for the quality and quantity of food. Overall, Tad’s Louisiana Cooking provides a fun, flavorful experience with friendly staff and authentic dishes that keep visitors returning.
