I went today and there was barely anyone in the restaurant. I ordered Hillbilly Queso (out of Chorizo), so I got basic queso and a trailer park trashy. I got my queso right away and my ONE taco came 30 min later! It was good but not worth that wait! I didn’t get an apology or sympathy when I asked what took so long for 1 taco…just a blank face.
We waited 40 minutes for 4 basic tacos. When they came out they were cold. The grease was slacked into the tortilla showing how long they had been sitting. We asked for the manager and were met with the most unprofessional person I’ve ever seen “managing.” She did not want to give us a refund after we were already offered one by the very kind kid working the floor. I hate to have to report this because my family loves your tacos and we have been eating there for years. We recently moved back to Lake Charles LA from Austin TX. Saturday we ate at torchy's here in Lake Charles with my entire family for my daughter's bday. Yesterday, we wanted more, so we ordered delivery thru door dash. Torchy's Tacos | Mexican is a wonderful establishment with phenomenal food that is always fresh, delicious, and the best. The service is nothing short of great, with staff who go out of their way to ensure orders are corrected quickly and with a great attitude. Customers highlight the hillbilly queso and grande burrito as must-try meals. The restaurant is always clean, and the customer service is too notch, with incredibly kind and attentive team members who provide THE BEST service. They care about giving great service, check on tables to make sure everything is right, and love customers like family. This is the best place with a great attitude and attention to customer service that is definitely recognized and appreciated.
