“My wife and daughter and I went to Luna's yesterday, as my wife grew up in Lake Charles and said that Luna's was THE local hangout when she was growing up. With good reason, I found out. The restaurant was a delight. The food was amazing (I had a fantastic hamburger and a really good salad), and the atmosphere made me smile (all around us, throwback posters and paintings from 80s music and 90s movies). Plus the wait staff was very friendly. If you're looking for a good restaurant to do dinner with family and friends, this is the place to go.“

“We decided to try MacFarlane’s. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night. The waitress the first night was helpful and friendly. The waiter the second night was also friendly and helpful. Food was outstanding beer selection was awesome. The night they had live music. I really enjoyed the lady that played. We can’t wait to go back again. Highly recommended this place.“

“I ate here once 7 years ago and have never stopped thinking about this place ever since. The breakfast sandwich was so good i swore it HAD to be a fluke because it was MIND BLOWING for me. I finally got the chance to come back 7 years later and the sandwich only improved with time (how improving from perfection is possible, I have no idea, but they did it). The coffee is fantastic and the atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. The owner is hands on here in the shop, consistently ensuring the highest quality he can provide.

I would move to Lake Charles for the sheer fact that this coffee shop exists. Out of every little secret breakfast/lunch nook I’ve enjoyed in the US, this is by far the best spot in quality, price, and just straight up talent in knowing how to create and blend the best flavors. Whenever I think I have a new favorite, I always compare it with Stellar Beans (don’t worry, y’all have never been dethroned as #1 for me). I love this place and will bring all of my guests here every time I pass through.“

“******Highly Recommend ****^ My 87 year old mother, my sister in law and I had lunch at Augustine’s today at their grand opening. The lunch was fantastic! We started with delicious appetizers-crab claws in butter, onion soup, and truffle fries with Parmesan cheese. Absolutely delicious. We then enjoyed the fried oyster salad with cornbread bread crumbs (yummy!) and the chicken flatbread with balsamic vinegar and I think honey. You had to roll us out of the door as we ate every bite! “We played music Bingo here last night. It was so much fun. Our servers were great. The loaded nachos was the best I've ever had, no joke. I can't wait for more music Bingo! It was loud in there, but that's what we came for. Sorry, but I did not like the dirty martini. Something was missing. But I didnt want to waste it.“
