My wife and daughter and I went to Luna's yesterday, as my wife grew up in Lake Charles and said that Luna's was THE local hangout when she was growing up.
With good reason, I found out. The restaurant was a delight. The food was amazing (I had a fantastic hamburger and a really good salad), and the atmosphere made me smile (all around us, throwback posters and paintings from 80s music and 90s movies). Plus the wait staff was very friendly.

I have never had a bad experience at Luna’s. I’ve only been in Lake Charles since March. Hands down one of my favorite places. Friendly staff! The cosmic sauce has me in a chokehold, it goes with just about anything!

The restaurant has a great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, a bar and street parking. People are seated quickly and can sit at the bar or a table for many. The menu has spinach artichoke dip, fried mushrooms, a cup of soup, grilled veggies, steak and other plates that many people find good or delicious. Food can come fast and also may take longer when the place is busy, with wait times of about 35 minutes for drinks and up to an hour for larger orders. The staff are friendly, helpful with recommending items off the menu and have a great attitude even when service is slow. The ambiance is nice, music video/documentary performances have been noted, and the venue is not very loud. Peanut oil is used in cooking, so people with peanut allergies should be aware. Overall the food is described as good, very good, and the restaurant is a place people will definitely come back to.
